One Year Later, Teeth Found On Golf Course Corpse Still Unidentified
WAUKEGAN--If you knew someone with gold lettering on their front teeth whom you haven't seen for a year or more, the Lake County Coroner's office wants to hear from you.
The coroner’s office is again asking for the public's help in identifying human remains found at Countryside Golf Club in Mundelein in March 2007.
The remains, believed to be those of an older male, were found March 19, 2007, when golf course workers were preparing the course for its spring opening, according to a release from the coroner's office.
Also found at the scene was an upper denture with distinct characteristics. The denture contains two gold teeth, one on each side. Additionally, one tooth near the front has a gold “R” and another front tooth is marked with a gold star.
Anyone who might recognize the teeth is asked to call the coroner’s office at (847) 377-2200.
