ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A judge locked up killer Clifton Bloomfield for 195 years, but now the multiple murderer is out--on video--in a movie role he filmed between homicides.

Bloomfield described himself as trustworthy and reliable a year and a half ago when casting director David Córdova was auditioning extras for the Sony Pictures movie " Felon " starring

Wow. That is a very interesting article/incident. I wonder how creeped out Val Kilmer is.

Imo, alot of movies glamourize killers and thieves, etc. They just got the real deal here, and will most likely stand out now, they probably think it's pretty funny

Good to know that mathematically 195 yrs in NM equates to around 2 yrs. Wonder what the 5 life sentences he's now serving equates to?!

Guess the guy really didn't have to "act" the part, huh? He was a natural!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

I think the whole "I can't afford to do background checks" excuse Cordova gave is a copout, it wouldn't cost money in most states to find out if your hiring a convicted felon-we look them up daily here. Sheesh this is obnoxious. And the sad thing is-they are probably loving it bc lots of people will want to see the movie now. I think a portion of the proceeds should have to go to victims' families.

From "Confessions of a Killer," a two-part Albuquerque Journal feature, April 2009:

Part 1: http://www.abqjournal.com/news/metro/05105231metro04-05-09.htm

Shortly after 3 a.m. on a Saturday last summer, Clifton Duane Bloomfield murdered his last victim, a newlywed, married only six days, and the only one of five innocents Bloomfield feels sympathy for. He doesn't mention the other people he killed — only the newlywed, a nurse named Scott Pierce. It was a case of mistaken identity, and it troubles him. If the others do, he won't say.

"That was a tragedy," he said of Pierce. "That one really screws me up."

Last October, Clifton Bloomfield was sentenced to 195 years in prison for killing five people...

Bloomfield won't say who his first murder victim was. Detectives believe he committed more homicides than the five to which he has confessed. What they do know is that his first victim in Albuquerque was Carlos Esquibel...

Bloomfield had moved to New Mexico in March 2004, and, from outward appearances, his life seemed to be going well. He made decent money working at a hotel and for a roofing company. He met a woman who was taking him to church and helping him learn how to live out of prison. At the same time, Bloomfield was killing...

The three others victims Bloomfield was convicted of killing were Josephine Selvage in 2005 and Tak and Pung Yi in 2007.
