Two Komodo Dragons Kill Indonesian Man

The man's neighbor, Theresia Tawa, said he was bleeding badly from bites to his hands, body, legs and neck by two lizards Monday and died at a clinic on the neighboring island of Flores.

How awful! I didn't know they were aggressive!

I had never heard that! I guess I need to read up on Komodo Dragons.

A 10 foot carniverous reptile should be considered aggressive....

If I was in that tree with these big lizzards crawling around under me I would make sure i did NOT fall out... Those suckers can run fast too. I wonder how he was going to get out of the tree anyway?

Their saliva is also poisonous to humans. Not really a poison, but a stew of bacteria that no antibiotics work on. So even if you were to survive the actual bite, you could very well die from the infection.
