MOSSYROCK, Wash. -- The owner of a store and gas station in Mossyrock was repeatedly run over and killed by a driver who was stealing gas after filling up on Monday, the Thurston County Sheriff's Department said.

He was found nearby, parked outside of a business. Lewis County Sheriff Steven B. Mansfield said a town police officer used a Taser to subdue and arrest 41-year-old John David Joel Angeline of Lakewood.

For a measly $34!!! Unbelievable. Washington used to be one of the lower crime rate states but lately things seem to be running out of control; I don't know what is going on. It's like the whole world has gone crazy.

Very sad story.

Something similar happened here in BC a few years ago.
Because of that, it is now mandatory that you pay for gas before you pump it.

It can be inconvenient at times, but well worth it if it saves lives.

I am not defending this Jackass but it was really stupid of her to stand in front of the truck. Just write his license number down and call the police.

A man who ran over a Mossyrock gas station clerk was found not guilty by reason of insanity at his murder trial in Chehalis.

Lewis County Superior Court Judge Jim Lawler ordered John David Angeline to Western State Hospital on Tuesday for an undetermined stay.
