Caylee's Grandparents To Speak Out

(CBS) The grandparents of Caylee Anthony, the Florida tot whose mother is accused of her murder, will appear Wednesday and Thursday in an exclusive two-part interview on The Early Show. It is their first interview since their granddaughter's body was found.

George and Cindy Anthony will talk with co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez on April 22 and 23, about the investigation into their granddaughter's death, and the timeline of events leading up to the arrest of their daughter, Casey, for the crime. The Anthonys also will talk about how their daughter is handling the prosecution's recent decision to seek the death penalty in her case.

"Cindy reveals that George wasn't the only one who considered suicide. She did, too," "Early Show" anchor Maggie Rodriguez told me. "She wrote several suicide notes. Then Casey came home for the first time. When they released her the first time, Cindy says they sat together and prayed, and Casey kept her from going through with it."

"George and I are living the same nightmare, but I don't know. And I can't judge George for certain things that he's done, you know? I understand certain things. I understand his suicide attempt. A lot of people don't know. I was there too. I wrote suicide notes back in end of July and August. No one knows that," Anthony said.

"I couldn't bear not having Caylee around and not knowing what happened to her. And I wanted, you know, I just didn't, you know, you get to a point when you miss someone so much, that you think life's not worth living," Cindy Anthony said.
