The Nevada County Sheriff's office said they plan to send out search crews this week after a 30-year-old man disappeared almost two weeks ago.

Family members said Isaiah Eli Marsh, was driving his 2003 Ford F-350 when he left his home in Nevada County on April 14.

He's described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 220 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes.

Vigils to continue for missing man

The community will continue to rally nightly for Isaiah Eli Marsh, 30, a Nevada County man who has been missing since about April 14.

Organizers said they plan to hold a candlelight vigil every night at Pioneer Park until information surfaces about Marsh’s disappearance; the rally tonight will start at about 5 p.m.

The first vigil, held Sunday night at Pioneer Park, allegedly attracted about 250 people.

Marsh’s friends became concerned on April 18 after he failed to return telephone calls. He is described as a conscientious person who would not fail to keep in contact.

Since then, searchers have combed the North San Juan and Yuba County areas; a signal from Isaiah Marsh’s cell phone was last picked up by a tower at Bullard’s Bar.

“We are taking it very seriously,” said Nevada County Sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Tripp Monday afternoon. “We’re following up on all the information we’re getting.”

At this point, it remains a missing-persons investigation, Tripp said.

I wish there was a better picture of him. Prayers that he is located soon.

Missing Grass Valley man linked to pot-growing operation

Drug Enforcement Administration agents and sheriff’s deputies served search warrants on several homes in the county Monday

Isaiah Marsh, the Grass Valley man who has been missing since April 14, has been linked to a countywide pot-growing operation, Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal said.

Drug Enforcement Administration agents and sheriff’s deputies served search warrants on several homes in the county Monday, discovering a different Nevada City man allegedly growing marijuana “clones” for sale and converting cargo trailers into hydroponic growing operations.

One of the trailers allegedly had been sold to Marsh.
A third trailer allegedly was found at Marsh’s residence in the 14000 block of Hobnob Way, off North Bloomfield Road about a mile north of Nevada City.

Isaiah Marsh’s remains were found near Long Canyon Road and Hacienda Avenue on June 12, 2009, five to 10 days after being set on fire, according to Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

The county submitted DNA from the remains to the California Department of Justice’s Riverside forensics unit upon finding the remains, and on Aug. 15 of this year, was notified of the match. Marsh’s family reported him missing in April 2009.

So sad :(
RIP Isaiah
