FL - Parents Wonder How Autistic Boy, 13, Flew Across US
The boy, Kenton Weaver, left his home in Boca Raton early Tuesday, drove his father's Ford Explorer to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, parked in a ramp and boarded a Southwest Airlines plane, West Palm Beach television station WPBF reported.
The boy flew to Chicago, waited through a layover and then completed a second leg to San Jose, Calif., not far from his mother's home.Say what you mean, mean what you say, but don't say it mean.
We are all just trying to make sense of an unimaginable crime.

Holy crow! I sooo see how this could happen!
My 12yo son is - right now - on a school trip to FL. My biggest concern was after dropping him at the airport. I just kept worrying about him staying with his group and being on the right plane.
My family thought I was nuts, but seriously? We grew up on Home Alone. It could happen. Once I talked to a chaperone who had personally sat with him, I was totally fine.
And, yes, I have emailed all of them this article.
