According to investigators, Micah Denise Pates husband reported her missing around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009. The 26 year-old womans husband told officers that Pate left their house in the 3500 block of Foxfield Trail to go for a run. He says his wife is usually home and in bed by 10:00 p.m. and it is very unusual for Pate to not be home by that time.

Police say all of Micah Pates personal items were left at the house.

Pate is described as a White woman with short blonde hair. She is five feet, five inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. Police say she was last seen wearing a long sleeve blue shirt and brown pants.http://www.myeyewitnessnews.com/new...turned-Home-After/fxZMt6YIl0WbxXtG63zaGQ.cspx

from the video: there was a vigil today. There will be an update on the case at nine pm tonight.

LE had hounds, crime scene dets, etc out at the home (you can see this on the video) and it also showed one det. rifling thru those numbers they use at crime scenes. Neighbor's describe the husband as upset and frantic/crying. Crime scene tape is around the house... while LE says the house is not "considered" a crime scene.

Micah works at an OBGYN office.

Wow, this is less than a mile from my parent's home. There's always many joggers in the vicinity.

A search continues in a Memphis suburb for a missing Tennessee woman who has ties to Arkansas.

Police in Bartlett, Tennessee say Micah Denise Pate, who is in her 20's, was last seen by her husband Thursday night when she left their home to go running.

Pate had attended both Harding Academy and Harding University in Searcy.

Hey Nurse, it's a middle class subdivision that is about l/2 mile from the major hwy 70. All the subdivisions have sidewalks and street lights. The one poster that mentioned her wearing attire being hinky though is a concern. The humidity is usually suffocating there and with it starting to rain, I know I would not be able to breath. It is much cooler in Florida. Bartlett, TN is just on the outskirts of Memphis.

Thanks Sand! I thought the attire was strange too... not to mention it was raining around the time she went running. Long pants and a long sleeved shirt in that humidity... very strange. Also the color choice for the time of night she was running. I am a runner and would never wear dark colors when it is dark outside.

Do you know if there are any parks or trails in the area? I could see longer pants and shirt sleeves in the woods due to ticks, etc...

There is a public park that is probably about a mile away, but it is cleared land. That area is very hot and muggy. The less you wear the more comfortable you would be particularly jogging. At any time running in the area, unless you were crossing a street, she would have been in front of a house. Unfortunately, there has been a couple of husbands who have murdered their wives in Bartlett over the past year.

Nurse, I don't know how to post links, but see on Memphis television on my fox memphis they have found Micah's body. That location is not that far from her home.

if she was wearing such dark clothes that is certainly a possibility.. but than it would be hit and run right? something still isn't right...

Investigators spent the day combing through the couple's home for any clues to her whereabouts. It is not yet known if anything found in the home may have tipped off deputies to the location of her body.

Oh definitely - it's still not right even if it's a hit and run. Not knowing the area, though, I don't know if this is a normal place for someone to be jogging....

map I did from her home to brunswick road... I don't see how you could get there without getting on 70? It is four miles if you get on the interstate...

Wow Nurse - looking at it like that, it seems less likely that she would have been jogging there. Brunswick Road looks like it's sparsely populated at best in that area, and at night would have been extremely unsafe for a jogger.

I'm waffling, though, because taking 70 up to Brunswick, then down to Memphis Arlington Road, would give her something of a roundabout course to jog. Still, that's a damn long distance if you ask me.

Wish I knew what her usual jog distances/times were....

I had to review the area again. No, she would not have been jogging there. It was much too far from her home. Someone took her there and left her body.
