Bail Set at $500,000 for Suspect After 2 Toddlers Found Shot in Gas-Soaked Home

STEVENS POINT, Wis. — A judge in Wisconsin has set bail at $500,000 for a man accused of killing his girlfriend and two of their children at their home in Nelsonville.

Portage County Circuit Judge Frederick Fleishauer set the bail Monday after District Attorney Tom Eagon said he plans to charge 36-year-old Shane Kettner with three counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. - A 37-year-old Wisconsin man who admitted killing his estranged girlfriend and their two young sons has been sentenced to life in prison.

Shane Kettner on Wednesday received two life prison sentences for killing 3-year-old Ashley Kettner and 2-year-old Griffin Kettner and a 30-year term for killing their 30-year-old mother, Christine Gollon.

Investigators found Kettner in Gollon's barricaded, gasoline-soaked Nelsonville home in April 2009. They say he was holding his infant daughter and had written a suicide note. The girl was unharmed.

Kettner pleaded guilty in March to two counts of first-degree homicide in the children's deaths and one count of first-degree reckless homicide in Gollon's death.
