They look similar to me. The nose seems to be similar (it looks like the left side of the nose has a slight difference from the right side on both males) and the ears look similar to me (the lobes look "flattened" on the bottom in both males.)

I wonder if the UID has the praying hands tattoo. The tattoos of the crosses seem like matching info, although it's worded differently in the description. (One says 3 tattoos and the other says tattoos of a cross and praying hands, but in his absence he could have had additional tattoos done?)

:blowkiss:

I definitely see similarities.
It is possible he had new tattoos done or pre-existing ones added to after he went missing.

The only issue I see is the heights being different.

Im sorry I dont think its him .... JMO..... the nose and eyes are completely different .... The distance between the eyes are different .... again JMO

the top of his head is shaped different ...... chins are different .... one chin is more squarer than the other....

I think the nose, the pupilary distance, the chin, the ears, the hairline are all similiar enough to warrant a closer look.

The height discrepancy is 3 inches... but once again, it's difficult to guage accuracy of height due in part to people's tendancy to exaggerate/minimize height/weight. If it were the reverse and Michael's height was listed at 5'6" and the UID's height as 5'9" I'd be less inclined to consider these a match.

The tattoos are more of an issue for me.

It's hard for me to get a read since Michael's face in his picture is sort of a side angle. If his picture was head on like the UID then maybe I could give my opinion... I think its a possibility though....

Morgue Photo here of John Doe (Head is turned)https://identifyus.org/report.php?p=individual&i=571
Dentals should be easy enough to rule on these two! John Doe had only one filling!
I also found this:http://www.missing-you.net/people/miss-way-60767.php Not sure it's one and the same, probably not since The Atlanta PD site has info to contact Michaels mother and her last name is Harris, here's that http://www.atlantapd.org/missing/missing2.asp?menu=8&casenum=020860984

I am still on the fence on this one, after seeing the actual morgue photo, I will try to find more info (photos) on Mr. Way....

the morgue photo makes me question the match as well-- coloring, nose shape, even hairline seem very different from the reconstruction, but I submitted it as a possible match and both depts said the comparison is being reviewed.

I'll be sure to post as soon as here anything definitive.

Listed as a cold case homicide by Miami-Dade:

Victim ID'd as Shahmaal Allen:

One such break came in November 2011, when Miami resident Iris Allen was looking through the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs). As she clicked through the thousands of ghostly images, she suddenly stopped at a snapshot of a man's back tattoo: three black gothic crosses. When she called Miami-Dade police to ask about the photo, they told her they had found the 23-year-old man shot to death in 2006. She told them the man was her son, Shahmaal Allen.
