CT - CCSU Football players arrested after setting popcorn fire and tying doors shut
They just wanted a few laughs? How did they know the fire wouldn't spread? And so many people could have panicked and hurt themselves or worse over the doors being tied shut.
Two Central Connecticut State University athletes and a former school football player were arrested early Monday after pulling an alleged popcorn prank that drew police and firefighters to a dormitory.
Matthew Dortch, 18, of Wayne Valley, N.J., Patrick Robinson, 18, of Goshen, N.Y., and Christopher Scifo, 19, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are accused of setting off a fire alarm with burning popcorn after they tied the doors shut to several dorm rooms, CCSU police reports said.
