AZ-Unidentified Females from mass grave in Mesa
Mostly lurker, but saw this and coudn't find a thread. Mods please move if I have done something incorrectly.
ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Medical investigators now have gathered enough information about two more women buried on the west mesa to go public with details in hopes someone can provide clues to their identities.
"One is Caucasian with Hispanic ethnicity, and the other one, we feel, is African American," Dr. Peter Loomis with the Office of the Medical Investigator said. "That's the young one in the age range of 16, 17."
Loomis, who specializes in forensic dentistry, said the teenager is not in the same age or ethnic groups as the others. She also had different dental work.
"She has some root canal treatment done on two lower molars on either side," he said. "That's a little unusual for a person of that age."
OMI has posted detailed information about two sets of remains on the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System public Web site hoping to generate tips.
The other victim is 20 to 29 years old. There was nothing on or near her body, no clothing, jewelry or footwear leaving investigators with little but dental X-rays.

There's a pretty big thread in the "Crimes in the News" section about this:
It actually happened in New Mexico, not in Arizona. It's a little confusing to people because the bodies were discovered on the West Mesa in Albuquerque (a mesa is a land formation) and people think it is the city Mesa in Arizona. No worries, though!
