Remains tied to three investigations
Forensics expert said a year is needed to ID

...The remains found by a mushroom hunter at the muddy end of Coy Drane Road could be those of Edna Miller, an 81-year-old Big Clifty woman who went missing in September 2001...

...Now, however, having recovered what appears to be about 95 percent of the full skeleton of an elderly woman, Williams says detectives will likely seek a criminal case against the suspect...

They are anticipating that it might be Edna.

...Investigators of the identity and cause of death of an elderly woman whose skeletal remains were found last week near Tar Hill in Grayson County say the victim died from blunt force trauma from what evidence has so far revealed...

...All parties involved in the investigation agree evidence and a biographical profile known so far point to the remains being those of Edna Miller, an 81-year-old Big Clifty resident who has been missing since 2001.

Officials do warn, however, that a positive identity has not been made...

I found this of interest initially because Grayson County and Hardin County KY share a border.

We have several missing people from Hardin County (which includes a portion of Fort Knox and also the town of Radcliffe among others).

I, myself, am very familiar with this area of Kentucky. After following the story I saw that they already have a missing person in mind but wanted to bring it here anyway.

From the time skeletal remains were found in April in eastern Grayson County, those who have remained close to the case of Edna “Rea” Miller sensed that the missing Big Clifty woman had been found.

On Thursday, those beliefs were confirmed when the state’s laboratory verified that the remains were those of Miller, who was 81 when she disappeared in September 2001. No cause of death has been determined.
