Ashley Denise Ward, 24, was reported missing Sunday by her mother. A Raleigh medical examiner confirmed Friday that Ward's death was a homicide.

Bolen is currently serving 16-20 years for 2nd degree murder and another year for arson, per North Carolina DOC:
