Under the law, no one has the right to abuse another. Domestic violence, also known as spousal or partner abuse, is usually violence or threats of violence, and includes physical, sexual, emotional or psychological abuse. If you need help or you want to help in breaking the cycle of domestic violence, there are resources available to assist you. Victim Services - Domestic Violence Unit is a free service that helps individuals who are victims of domestic violence where criminal charges have been, or may be laid against their partner.
