Website for Cultus Lake, where Jodi was expected to go camping after the party where she was last reported seen: http://www.cultuslake.bc.ca/
from:Cultus Lake is located 11 kilometers (7 miles) south of the Chilliwack River, near the city of Chilliwack and approximately 80 kilometers (50 miles) east of Vancouver. In 1950, Cultus Lake became a Provincial Park of British Columbia. Cultus Lake covers an area of 656 hectares, evenly on either side of the lake.
Some idea of what it looks like:

Anyone know if the landfills were searched?
This has got to be a nightmare for the family. My thoughts and prayers go out to Jodi's family. May they soon get their beautiful daughter back, safe and sound in their arms, where she belongs. God bless you and keep strong.
Still waiting for news on Jodi. sigh
The only things in my google alerts these days are posts from this thread.
Didn't find anything new this morning.
One week shy of the two month mark...
I don't see Jodi on many missing persons sites, either... We might try emailing the sites as we come to them, but I'd imagine a family member has to have a person added to most of them.
I am horrified by the lack of publicity on this case!
Another day and still no news of Jodi.
Didn't find anything new today.
It's scary that someone can disappear so completely.
Also, I can understand (and even admire) the family's desire not to get into fights with the ex's family in the media, but I have to say it's frustrating. They need to be more vocal, if for no other reason than to keep this case alive. There's no reason for a missing kid case less than two months old to turn into a cold case, but that's what this one is doing. I suspect it's because the ex's family told media that she was a bad girl who is prone to running away. And people will be affected by that story, because the family isn't really disputing it. It's all very frustrating.
They have to keep this in the public view.
Plea from parents generates leads in search for Jodi Henrickson

Police say that a plea made by parents of a missing Squamish teen has generated new leads in a coordinated search.
RCMP Cpl. Dave Ritchie said that police combed terrain on Bowen Island with search dogs last weekend after learning new information. He could not say which community the tips came from or where exactly the search units combed the island.
Nothing new, other than that little blurb... I am interested in finding out what the "new leads" were...
Nothing more today - wonder what they found last weekend...???

Couldn't find anything again today...
BUMP BUMP BUMP...
Wish I could do more.
Just checking in on Jodi. Still no news.
Nothing this morning...
I found a description of Jodi's purse on the FB page:
"huge, black and leather with little pink and yellow flowers on the rings connecting the straps to the bag"
No particular brand, the poster said.
I couldn't find any such purse on Google - will keep trying, though.
WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!?!?!?!
Take a look at the FB photo album:
I think there are shots there from the party she attended the night she went missing, but I'm not sure. There is also an aerial shot of the search area (from 2004).
Don't mean to tut-tut here, but there are an awful lot of photos of drunken teens on that site... sigh. What a high price for a "good time." I wonder what role alcohol played in all of this.
That party seems like a key thing - wish we could find out more about it.
Such a frustratingly silent case!
How did she leave the party? Drive, get a lift or - please no - hitchhike?
Nothing new again today.
Found this on the Bowen Island forum. I hope it's ok to post it here, as it seems the uncle wants to spread the word. If not, my apologies, and please remove the message and leave the link.
BBMMessage from the family of missing teen Jodi Henrickson
"Hi, I am the uncle of Jodi Henrickson, me and Jodi's parents went to Bowen Island on Saturday for the (recent Global TV) news story... (some of our comments were cut from the story) the part they cut out was that all 3 of us (Jodi's parents and I) thanked the people of Bowen Island for all their help in the search of my niece Jodi. The reason that we believe she is still on the island is, that's what we have been told. Can you let the people know that we would like to thank them for all their help and support."
Basically, the family doesn't have any more cause to think Jodi is still on Bowen any more than we do - just what the RCMP says.
Almost two months...
Weird set of comments on the below (link) article:
Does she have a pair of brown knee high suede boots,or a friend/ boyfriend with reddish blonde hair about 18 to 20 years old?

Call CrimeStoppers...they will investigate it, don't leave it on here and hope someone sees it!

What do you guys make of "maybe" and her comment? Is it possible she/he saw Jodi that night with a guy like s/he describes? (Thinking the commenter is female, given the attention paid to the boots.)
The failure of people to come forward is pizzing me off. If this really is some sort of "teen wall of silence" those little brats better grow up and realize this is not a game.
I found Jodi's uncle - on FB he said he was in California, and I found his blog. He is currently in BC helping with the search.
This is from his post about Jodi - very sad, and I feel for them all.
(Decided not to link to his private blog, after all - above quote is of use, though.)"the police have nothing to tell us"
