The family of a former Jones County resident is asking for the public’s help in locating him.

Roland Earl Plymale, who would have turned 58 years old on May 9th, has been reported missing by his family.

Barbara Watts, Plymale’s sister, said she needs to locate her brother, who was last seen on Sept. 2, 2008.

Plymale, originally from Soso, reportedly worked for the Jones County Sheriff’s Department several years ago. He later moved to Smith County and was reportedly staying in Forest in Scott County at the time of his disappearance.

. . .

Roland Earl Plymale was last seen at a friend's home in Scott County in September of 2008 when sheriff's deputies asked him to leave after an altercation.

. . .

Family members said people in the Smith and Scott County areas have claimed Plymale was killed and fed to alligators at a pond in Newton County.

. . .

The article also mentioned that his truck was found in Scott County late last year.
