UPDATE: Members of the Klamath County Major Crime Team and Oregon State Police Crime Lab are looking for the body of Robert Kincaid on Deanna Brindle's property off Drews Road in the Tablelands area between Sprague River and Beatty. Click here for the latest from the Herald and News

A Sprague River woman was arrested Tuesday night on a murder charge related to a search for a man missing from the Tablelands area since July 7.

Deanna Lynn Brindle, 47, is being held without bail as of this morning, said Klamath County District Attorney Ed Caleb.

Crews began searching for Robert Kincaid, 54, who lives on Cuni Road, after he left his home July 7 with two horses for an 11-mile trip. The horses returned earlier this week without him.

The body has been positively identified as that of Mr. Kincaid.

. . .

Meanwhile, authorities sought and received a search warrant to dig on Brindle’s property. On July 15, they found Kincaid’s body. Experts conducted an autopsy on the decaying body, and it was positively identified by the Oregon State Police Crime Lab in Central Point.

. . .

Much more at the link that details how the investigation led to the body. Rest in peace.

Most recent update I could find, from January 2010:

http://www.heraldandnews.com/top_st...cle_d28e4864-909d-593a-8b6a-3a7128ab4848.html

Deanna Brindle was arrested six months ago after authorities found Kincaid’s body in a garbage pit on her property in Beatty in July 2009. Brindle admitted to killing Kincaid with a shotgun, saying she did it after he raped her.

But in the first few days of preliminary hearings, authorities deemed Brindle unfit to stand trial because of her mental health status...

Brindle is currently under evaluation at a state mental hospital. She will not continue with court proceedings until mental health officials deem her fit to take part. No court or trial dates have been set, according to Klamath County Circuit Court records.
