Circumstances of Disappearance: Gayle was last seen at home in bed at approximately 2:30am by her daughter, who was checking on her. Gayle seemed disoriented and was asked by her daughter if she wanted medical attention. Gayle indicated she was ok. Her daughter checked on her again at 3:45am, and found that both Gayle and her vehicle were gone. It is assumed that she woke up, dressed, and left in her 2006 red Nissan Murano with FL tags TO7-2XC. She has not been seen or heard from since. At the time of Gayle's disappearance, her husband was terminally ill and was receiving in-home care. He passed away on 8/12/2009. There is a yellow paint scratch on the passenger side of Gayle's vehicle where the front and back doors meet.

A woman who disappeared nearly two years ago has been found dead, apparently killed in a car crash off a densely wooded section of US Highway 441 south of Okeechobee

Her husband, who was terminally ill and has since died, reported her missing the following day, saying she wasn't in the house at 4 a.m., according to the National Missing and Unidentified Person's website.

Moran's 2006 Nissan Murano was also missing. "Preliminary investigation indicates the accident took place around the time of the original disappearance," Highlands County Sheriff Susan Benton said in a press release.
Shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday, Billy Jack Cole of Canal Point stopped at a spot off U.S. 441 north of State Road 76 in Martin County to pay his respects to a cousin who had died in a crash at the spot about 5 years ago, a report by the Martin County Sheriff's Office stated.

Rest in peace. So glad you are found.

Man helps solve missing person investigation after finding a skull

Mr. Cole was visiting the spot in a field where his cousin had died in a car wreck. He stumbled upon Gayle's remains. (Video at link)

This reminds me of the cases we have where there is a car wreck and then the person from the car is missing. Bless this family
