Reporter saying RC is the only POI in the case. More than 150 people interviewed but focus of investigation is RC. Two search warrants served. LK asking reporter why RC was released. Answer ~ not officially a suspect, LE can't hold him. She's saying he was released at 3am today after being taken to state crime lab during the night. He's now in Cromwell. LK asking who is RC? Reporter giving a background of him, saying he was an honor student, listed as a lab technician at Yale, who takes care of the lab mice. No relationship established between Annie and RC other than they knew each other and worked together.

LK introducing us to Annie's friend and mentor, Rocky Tuan, who is on camera from Pittsburgh. He's talking about how he knew Annie and her work. Bright, intelligent, everyone loved her.
 
LK now talking with the pastor of the New Haven Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Dennis Smith who is Annie's family spokesman. He's giving a background of Annie, her family, etc. While the pastor is talking, LK is showing a montage of photos of Annie, her fiance. He doesn't know Annie's fiance personally. He says family is happy with the way the case is progressing and the way their privacy is being respected by the media.
 
She wanted to learn new tech advances to help ppl with diseases.

More from Rocky Tuan. Annie was interested in biology, methods to take care of diseases, anything where biological knowledge would be used to improve health. She wanted to use technology to find treatment for diseases. Also wanted to be a professor or work with the NIH.

Dr. Henry Lee and Pat Brown also on. LK talking with Dr. Lee about the COD. Dr. Lee: external force compressed the neck, heavy force maybe from object. Could be ligature marks. LK asking Pat Brown if it's too early to profile a suspect. She says no and describes how the murder took place ~ face to face, he has her on the floor, killing her. Extreme rage. The perp knew her, targeted her, but she also says she doesn't think it was premeditated, more like rage. Maybe had something to do with Annie's upcoming wedding.
 
LK has someone on his show now who's suggesting a zealous animal activist could be the perp. Saying the campus isn't secure and anybody could walk in. Also suggesting a pipe could've been used to compress her neck. Asks why would somebody who works in there hide her body in a "closet" where the odor of decomp would be obvious. :rolleyes: Pat Brown completely discrediting this theory!
 
I thought he was with his parents? now a super 8???
reminds me of suicide.......motel etc...........yikes!
or did they have him in protective custody?
 
Not all 250 items have evidence, takes time to determine, per dr. lee

It was asked on ?? (maybe hln) if LE should be protecting him (possible death threats) & ?? said no.
