Police have arrested a person they are calling an investigative lead in the disappearance of a 50-year-old man, according to officials.

Bradley Tocker, 47, has been booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on fraud charges related to the case after William McGrath went missing nearly two months ago, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Trent Crump.

"The suspect who was arrested this morning is in debt and certainly found money here with the victim," Crump said. "He's been using McGrath's identity almost since the day he disappeared on August 17th."

Investigators said Tocker may have taken as much as tens of thousands of dollars.

PD: Pieces of missing man’s truck found in storage shed
Reported by: MaryEllen Resendez

PHOENIX – Phoenix police detectives said Wednesday they have uncovered new details in the case of a missing Phoenix man after finding his truck in pieces in a storage shed rented by a suspect.

William McGrath, 50, went last spoke to his family on August 17.

He reportedly said that he was considering purchasing a gun for his protection and upgrading the security system at his home, but he has not been seen or heard from since.

Police said Wednesday McGrath's 2002 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was found in pieces.

"We've located parts of the truck in a storage shed rented by Tocker," said Crump. Crump said Tocker sold the truck's fenders, doors, engine and transmission parts on eBay.

. . .

Crump said the two men met on a male dating website called Manhunt.

Phoenix police spokesman Trent Crump said the evidence investigators had gathered was sufficient for a grand jury to bring homicide charges against Tocker in February, even though no body had been found. Tocker went on trial for first-degree murder in March and was convicted in April, but his sentencing has not yet taken place.

Detectives would not say what specifically lead them to the home. But court records show Tocker has his sentencing postponed and rescheduled for July. In court documents, the new July hearing is referred to as a Mitigation Sentencing. That indicates Tocker may have cut a deal for a lighter sentence by giving up where he buried McGrath's body.

Sentenced to LWOP, accordng to Arizona DOC:
