I was watching this this morning on the news and didn't see anything about it here.

It's so odd, they were all three of them in good shape, one of them too young for a heart attack, all three dead collapsing within 16 minutes on a day that was practically perfect for running.

I am waiting for the autopsy results, I am curious about the possibility of some type of foul play. There is just too much coincidence here.

I find this so strange, something is going on. What I don't know. I wonder if they got the flu shot? There is something going on with the atmosphere, or the water. The last death was in 1994.

I wonder if they died from a unknown medical condition.

Gee I guess we will await if the report is made public.

Let us know....

Did any of them get water handed to them from people in a crowd? I'm just wondering if some sicko could have tampered with something.
Very sad for all involved :(

I'm thinking if there was any type of foul play, that it had to be something added to the water. I can't think of anything else that would have triggered these three deaths, at the same time, in the same place, when everyone else was fine.
I have also wondered if they were drinking bottled water at the time, maybe it was product tampering. Seeing as how I am only 60 miles from them, I will not be drinking anything but tap water and coffee until I hear that it was not in the water they were drinking.
This does have me a little freaked out, there doesn't seem to be much being said about it nationally, but it should be big news.

I agree that this is so weird for three of them to die. I hope it is well investigated, if only to give the families some peace about why. I would always wonder if there weren't an in-depth autopsy.

But there is no such thing as "too young for a heart attack." Several teens have died of a heart attack during strenuous sports practices or competitions, and I know a woman whose newborn died of a heart attack in the isolette just hours after he was born. No other cause was found and the doctors said it was highly unusual but not impossible.

Angelmom, you're right, there a lot of different causes for heart attacks and they do strike the young and healthy, too. Just not as often.
But, this whole thing is so strange. I might not even be concerned if it were three different men on three different days of the race, or even all three at different times of the day, but 3 healthy men, dying of heart trouble within 20 minutes is just too much.
I am looking forward to the autopsy results, in a morbid way, because I want to know. If it was a coincidence, it would be extraordinary, imo.

It is strange. I am also curious about the three people who died in that sweatlodge. They were supposedly healthy as well. It makes me wonder if there is some connection - some "health food" or supplement or water that they all used...or the darker side of me wonders about a serial/mass killer who targets health conscious people.

If I were a family member, I would not be able to rest until the tests were complete. I feel so bad for them.

I don't know, I am at a complete loss as to what could have happened. So far,the theories:
Coincidence.
Product tampering.
Flu shots or other immunization.
Possibly something in water given to them from the sidelines.
Something in food eaten before the race.
Something in a supplement they were taking.

I don't think it would be product tampering in something they all brought with them. For three random people from 2 different states to drop dead of contaminated products that they just happened to use at the same time, right before they all ran the same race, would be more of a coincidence than the same three random men having heart attacks with no cause.
I am at a complete loss. Part of me wants it to just be random, and not be part of something darker. But on the other hand, the logical side of me always wants there to be a reason, so I really want to know. It has been a long time since something bothered me this much.

These three men died within 15 minutes of each other, two almost at the same spot. It HAS to be some sort of poisoning, imho. The problem is, some poisons don't show up unless you run a specific test looking for THAT particular substance.

The fact all three autopsies showed nothing and further tests are needed, disturbs me.

JMHO

I am at about 95% with this being ..........not a coincidence.

They even collapsed near the same spot.....hmm, something timed? Wow...can't wait to hear results, so sad.
