Found Deceased DE - Lisa Mumford, 44, Felton, 11 May 2009 *Arrest*

State Police say a body pulled from the water at Port Mahon is that of a Kent County woman who'd been missing since last May.

Police say 44-year-old Lisa Mumford was last seen at her home in Felton May 10th of last year.

Her body was identified using a DNA profile, but investigators are still working to determine how she died, because the body had decomposed.

Dorsey Parker of Felton has been charged with first degree murder and abusing a corpse in the death of 44-year-old Lisa Mumford. Investigators found that the two had a confrontation, but it wasn’t the first time. Parker was also arrested on May 2, 2009 for assaulting Mumford...

Parker was subsequently incarcerated on the charge and released May 11, 2009. Delaware State Police during interviews learned that Parker was engaged in a verbal confrontation with Mumford in the Meadowbrook Acres Development, Magnolia, Delaware, shortly after his release from prison on May 11, 2009. Witness statements obtained state that Parker had to be physically restrained until Mumford left the area. May 11, 2009 was the last time Mumford was seen. Delaware State Police during the course of their interviews obtained information which advised Parker’s intent on doing harm to Mumford.

Delaware State Police learned that Dorsey wrapped Mumford’s body in blankets and drove to Port Mahon to dispose of Mumford’s body. On Thursday January 21, 2010 Delaware State Police obtained information regarding a found body on Port Mahon Road in the area of the boat ramp. Port Mahon Road is off of Main Street, Little Creek, Delaware.

He terrorized this woman and threatened her multiple times in public and he followed through. I feel so sorry for this lady…she must have been terrified.
