FL FL - Christine Kaye, 48, Riviera Beach, Oct 2009

Had she been reported missing?

I am curious to see a timeline here. Someone obviously didn't want her found for a long time.

So sorry for her family.

I put her name into the search on here and nothing came up.. not sure if she was reported.

Angelmom, she had not even been reported missing =( it's very sad no one reported her missing. It's also worrisome as i wonder how many people are murdered and never reported missing so no one is even aware..

"Using fingerprints, detectives identified the dead woman as Christine Marie Kaye, 48. Her last known address was the town of Lake Park in Palm Beach County.
Kaye had not been reported missing, according to a sheriff's report"

Associates of Kaye told investigators that she had a history of drug abuse. But officers also learned that in the months prior to her death Kaye had been off the streets and living with her ex-husband David Kaye, the owner of a Palm Beach County rehabilitation center, in his Jupiter home.

Records show that it was David who investigators initially focused the large majority of their attention upon after Kaye's death. They looked into claims of domestic abuse in their relationship, and they unsuccessfully searched for credit card records that would show he had visited the Keys in late October...

"There was no real evidence that he was involved," Smith said of David Kaye. "There is no physical evidence. That is just the last place we know she was at."

From November 2011:

"We can't call it a homicide, but at the same time, we've got to get to the bottom of what exactly happened," Coleman said. "There's too many unanswered questions here."

Kaye's body was likely dumped at a roadside and rolled into one of the canals that snake their way from the gulf into the lake east of U.S. 1...

The body was discovered October 27th of 2009. No cause of death has been determined but drugs were found in Kaye's system.

Sounds like any of the perps DNA would have been washed off the outside of the wrapping. But inside the wrapping, I would think there would be a hair, fingerprint if not using gloves, body sweat from the Florida heat. It is pretty warm in Oct in FL.

Keys Detective Still Trying to Solve Woman's Mysterious Death
"We can't call it a homicide, but at the same time, we've got to get to the bottom of what exactly happened," Coleman said. "There's too many unanswered questions here."

Kaye's body was likely dumped at a roadside and rolled into one of the canals that snake their way from the gulf into the lake east of U.S. 1.

"They found her over there" said Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officer Aaron Smith, pointing to thick mangrove trees just yards west of the Jewfish Creek bridge.

Why cant they call Christine’s death a homicide? doesn’t that suggest the autopsy was inclusive? Otherwise it must be typical to wrap the dead in plastic in Key Largo! aw, perhaps it is just because her corpse tested positive for “drugs in her system’/ hoping this case gets reworked - she & her family deserve justice
