TX TX - Bianca Lozano, 1, Baytown, 7 April 1995

Welcome Kathee!! Sorry about the circumstances but glad to have you. What a sweet heart Bianca is, such a sad story. I hope your family is brought back together soon.

It is heartbreaking, I couldnt imagine being this poor Mother. It also sounds promising. The efforts are stepping up, thats a good sign.

Lawmaker urges support for info on missing teen

Representative Pete Olson is urging continued assistance from Americans and Mexicans in the search for missing 17-year-old Bianca Lozano.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Juan Antonio Lozano. It was 15 years ago that Bianca Lozano was kidnapped by her non-custodial father and taken from her mother when she was just 18 months old. August 19 was Bianca's 17th birthday.

"Bianca Lozano deserves to know that she has a mother in Houston who loves her very much. I am counting on the good nature of all Americans to think carefully if you have seen this girl or her father and let authorities or my office know if you have any information about Bianca's whereabouts," Olson concluded.

I hope 2014 is the year her mother is reunited with Bianca. The pictures of Bianca at 20 and the most recent update on her mother's website are very encouraging.

Bumping. This case saddens me. My own little girl is 18 months old and I could never imagine life without her. It must be so hard to know and see your child and still not be able to reunite with her. Praying she will get in contact with her soon!

This photo of Bianca was apparently taken in 2012, when she was 18.

Feature article about Bianca's mom, Deana Hebert, and the ongoing search for her child:

http://www.buzzfeed.com/djpeisner/how-the-19-year-search-for-bianca-lozano-explains-the-chaos

In April 2013, Hebert finally caught a break. A man got in touch via a Facebook page she’d set up, telling her that his sister Norma had had a baby with Lozano, whom she knew as “Pablo.” She had lived with him and Bianca — whom she knew as “Nina” — in Monterrey, Mexico, but Lozano was abusive, and now Norma was on the run from him. She’d begun to grow suspicious about his past, and after finding the Facebook page Hebert had set up, was concerned Lozano would kidnap her own son, so she took the boy and went into hiding.

In a series of conversations Hebert and a Spanish-speaking friend had with Norma’s brother and father, Hebert began hearing the first details of her daughter’s life, most of them heartbreaking: Bianca had been told that her mother died during childbirth. She lived in fear of her father. She had no idea she was a U.S. citizen and didn’t even know her real name. She was diabetic, played the guitar, and although she had no formal education, took classes at a music school in Monterrey...

Around this time, Hebert was also directed to some short YouTube clips of her daughter playing guitar. “That was when I saw her for the first time in 18 years,” says Hebert. “I knew it was her. I’ve seen thousands of pictures of other girls and people would say, ‘Don’t you think this looks like her?’ And I’d say, ‘No. I know it’s not.’ Then I saw this girl and I knew it was her.”

"Another mother seaches for her child"

Q: If you knew your daughter were reading this right now, what would you tell her? What do you want her to know? Do you think she knows you are looking for her?

A: I could write a book on what I would say to her, but mainly I would tell her that she is loved so much by me and so many other people here in the U.S. (including her brother) that want to have a relationship with her and want her to be free. I'm sorry that she has been lied to by everyone around her (She thinks I'm dead and doesn't know that she is American). She does not deserve any of this. She deserves to know the truth.
