This woman was found in October 1994 in Curtis Twp., Alcona County. She was White, between 30 and 50, 5'0-5'4 tall, weighing about 102 pounds. She had blond or light brown hair, and there was no estimate on her eye color, since she was skeletal. It is estimated that she died sometime between 1989 and 1993.
She had several healed injuries, including an upper and lower collapsed vertebrae, behind the rib cage. There was also a healed fracture to her left arm, near the elbow. It isn't known if these all happened at the same time, or if they were separate injuries. There was a gap in her upper front teeth.

Her hair is short in the reconstruction, but I don't know if that is the length they believed it to be or just part of the artists perception.
I do have some possiblities for her, but I'll have to post them later.
She is also listed on the Michigan State Police website, but they are down for a few minutes, I'll link when the site comes back up.
There isn't a whole lot of info on her, but I have seen some solved with less.

ETA: No Namus listing.

Laura Alber is one of the ones I considered. The area, the teeth, age, hair; all correct. Alber was a little heavier, but if she was homeless for a little while, you would expect her to lose weight, and the height is only an inch off the high end of the estimate.
She doesn't look anything like the reconstruction, but they very rarely do.
I also don't know how accurate to expect the reconstruction to be, since I don't know the conditions that the body was under before it was found. In Alcona County, it could have seen some very brutal weather conditions if it was outside. (I say if, because MI is good for bodies inside structure walls.)

A couple others.

She's a little young for the Doe, but everything else is good, and you can see what I think is a gap in her teeth.

I can't see her mouth to tell about her teeth, but everything else seems pretty close.

Missing from WI, but everything else matches.

This one caught my eye because of her injuries.

BAck problems, but the weight is off.

Area and back problems (I may have her in here twice.)

The matches that I have are in the ones that I haven't been able to rule out. I was working with a 3 year span, no weight and no eye color, so that's why there are so many of them. I decided to clean out my files before I crash my PC again.

I am a newbie here, so please forgive me if I did this wrong. I just felt there was a resemblance between these two despite the distance from the missing and found locations. There are a lot of similarities in these two cases. Also, the UID female had old injuries that may have been consistent with those from the missing lady from Oregon. It sounds as if Jennifer had quite a history of being the victim of domestic violence. Thanks in advance for your input.

Yes, I think they are similar.. anyone else?

I also believe there is a resemblence. I think it's worth at least checking out with the authorities.

Can you tell if she has a gap in her teeth? That UID could have so many possibilities. Any other matches nearer to where it was found?

To me, it does look like Jennifer has a gap between her teeth

I also agree, you should report it :)

Although it looks like she was a victim of domestic abuse and would have been found closer to home I think I do see the gap between her teeth.

I think the resemblance is close enough to call it in.

Obviously, they have teeth to match and that is one of the best identifiers.

Oddly enough, there is a Newport, MI.
No idea if there was a drug rehab there in 1991.
And, it is 234 miles from Newport, MI to Curtis Township, MI.
Probably not relevant to this thread.
2286 miles from Boring,OR to Curtis Township, MI.

Oh, and one other thing I just found.

In Newberg, OR, I found a
Hazelden drug and alcohol treatment center,
founded in 1990.

From Boring, OR to Newberg, OR is 37 miles.

Perhaps her family misunderstood, Newport OR for
Newberg, OR.
The odd thing to me is wouldn't family members have
thought of this?
Or looked up all the drug rehabs in OR?
Or didn't the police do this?

Maybe she wasn't intending to go to rehab?
Maybe she just wanted to take off?

And maybe this info is not relevant at all.

I also encourage you to call this in!
The resemblance is very strong. And... although I can not find a description of Jennifer with her height- in one pic, she looks like she is standing next to someone and she comes just above their shoulder--- that would seem to match MI Jane Doe's height of 5'0-5'4".
MI Jane Doe also had numerous back injuries, and the article about Jennifer said she was thrown down the stairs and thrown out a window...
The worst scenario would be that MI LE could rule out Jennifer, and we're back to the drawing board?
Bewildered, you are terrific!

The connection between Jennifer's domestic violence reports and the UID's prior injuries is strong, despite the distance...nice work!

Please keep us posted.

Thanks to all of you for your input. I will report it and see what happens and will let you all know if and when I hear anything.

I think it is a very good possibility!
I saw your post and just wanted to leave this comparison here for you to check out. I submited this about three weeks ago and have nothing back yet other than the usual....'we will check and let you know'....
If I don't hear anything in abut a week or two,I will try back.

Wow! This one looks like a possible match, other than the height. You would think that she had been checked out already since she was from Michigan, though?

It appears they think Jennifer was murdered and her husband was a POI. I wonder if he had any connections in Michigan?
