SC - Sharawn Jerod Chestnut Jr., 2 weeks old, Conway, 9 Nov 2009

I haven't found a name for this baby boy yet.

    <snip>

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Conway Police are looking for a 2-week -old boy who went missing from his bed late last night.

According to Conway Police, officers were called to a home on Duckett Street in Conway just after midnight Tuesday morning. The mother told police she put her 1-year-old daughter and 2-week-old son to bed around 11 p.m. When she checked on them an hour later, the boy was missing

But if that drop was not in the ocean,
I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

Two weeks? I hope the family was not involved. Why bother with this nonsense with a child that young? That's probably within a safe harbor period! If not there than in a neighboring state. Does SC have such a law?

    ETA: I mean safe haven.

BBM. Interesting. A few hours ago in NORTH Carolina, they issued an Alert with no suspect. Such different rules for neighboring states?

I know!!! Wasn't it also NC that issued the early amber alert for the kid that went missing with the parents when they were hiking? (they ended up being found lost in the woods)... this is just crazy... how different states can apply it differently. I hope this baby is found soon! He didn't just get up and march out the door!

Oh no. Another baby. A little baby.
How could a baby go missing in one hour?
If someone took the baby, why wouldn't they take the
    1 yr old child also?

    Not good.
    No names given.

if this is an apartment it seems even more unlikely that someone could sneak in and sneak out without being noticed? idk, unless they are on the first floor with window access most apartments only have one entry/exit ...moo

Looking at the file names of the baby pictures on one of the news sites, his initials may be BG. (My guess only!)

Lordy, Lordy, Lordy - a two week old baby doesn't just get up and walk out of that place.

This nonsense has to stop. No name yet? Am skeptical when no names have been published.
