"A Portland man was sentenced this morning in federal court to 10 years in prison for possessing more than 20,000 images of child *advertiser censored*.

David Lee Kemery, 55, was snared in a nationwide undercover investigation of Internet sites that sell the illegal images. US. District Judge Garr M. King ordered him to serve 10 years of supervised probation after completing his term in prison.

Kemery was convicted six years ago in Multnomah County Circuit Court of encouraging child sex abuse after he was caught with pornographic images of children. He spent nine months in jail and registered as a sex offender.

Agents served a search warrant at his home and found what the U.S. attorney’s office for the district of Oregon referred to as a “massive collection of child *advertiser censored*,” more than 20,000 images.

Investigators reported that they found handwritten notes with logins for the pay sites. They also found newspaper stories about others charged or convicted of offenses related to the collection of child *advertiser censored*, prosecutors reported."

The discovery of handwritten notes and lists were exactly what was outlined in the Mohler Search Warrants. It's a template used to educate judges as to what sorts of things serious collectors might have in their possession.

Right on again.

Ugh these freaks. At least he'll be locked up for some time, but let's see how that 10 years of supervised probation goes. 20,000 images. Dear Lord.

NINE MONTHS!?!?! Sorry but that was not enough time served the first time IMO. I wonder how big his collection was at that time? I am glad that he got a longer jail sentence this time but it was too little too late IMO. If there are sites that actually sell this kind of garbage in the U.S. then why can't they be shut down and prosecuted too?

These stories make me so angry! I think they should get a minimum of 1 year in prison for EACH image they have on their computers or in their possession. Do our lawmakers and judges not realize that while the person in possession of the photograph might not have been the one to actually do anything to the child in the photograph that these children are traumatized by every click of that camera? Do they not realize what these children go through so that some pervert can sit around looking at these pictures? These stories make me absolutely sick. :furious:

You take these sentences and cut them in 1/2. That's if he's a good pedophile. Keep an eye on this guy, as he'll be out no later than 5 years

He will do his time, get out and do it all over again. That is what he did after being caught the first time. Next time he will be more careful, tho.

IMO, he should get 25 to 30 years and have to serve every minute of it. I am so sick of this depraved preying on our children.

One of the main reasons I posted this thread is that I was struck by the comment about lists and "handwritten notes". We've discussed this over on the Mohler thread.

I thought that I'd seen some sort of template used in search warrants for child *advertiser censored*. The template informs the judge as to why LE is looking for notes, lists, etc. It's printed in full on Jared Mohler's search warrant. I think everyone should be aware of this info. The markers/signs of a child *advertiser censored* collector seem to be obvious and remarkably similar case to case.

Start with page 525 and read the numbered items. I HIGHLY suggest perusing this list and the narrative following the list.

I believe that this is where the template originated. It seems to be widely used these days.
