2009.12.12 Today's Current News - ***NO DISCUSSIONS HERE PLEASE ***

Not sure I'm doing this right, but wanted to start this thread because Brad Conway just said on the Today Show that Cindy and George have never given inconsistent statements, and have never lied.

ETA: Patty G recorded and uploaded this! Please see Patty's post below. Thank you Patty!!! :blowkiss:

I transcribed Brad's statement of note. It is at 4:48:

I've represented them for a year now and certainly in my representation they have not made any inconsistent statements. They have not lied. They've been truthful at every turn. And prior to my entry into the case, I believe that they also gave evidence, and were truthful at every turn.

A Florida mother charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter sobbed in court Friday as a prosecutor speculated aloud that the toddler was methodically drugged and suffocated with tape.

Casey Anthony cried as prosecutor Jeff Ashton suggested that Caylee Anthony's killer restrained her arms, dosed her with something that knocked her unconscious and put duct tape over her mouth and nose.

Ashton offered the scenario when explaining why he believes the case would qualify for the death penalty.

Circuit Judge Stan Strickland said he would rule later.

Ashton defended the decision to seek the death penalty for Casey Anthony.

"Caylee was almost three when she died with duct tape over her nose and her mouth," Ashton began.

From there he laid out brutality of Caylee Anthony's murder.

"Maybe her killer even saw her eyes as the tape was applied," he said. "First one piece, then two, then three, so that no breath was possible."

If a jury was at the point where they were going to decide whether to give Casey the death penalty, they would have "already decided that the face that Caylee saw in those last moments of her life, was her mother's face," Ashton said.
