    "Rescue workers are searching for three Mt. Hood climbers who were expected back at 2 p.m. Friday but haven't reported in.

    The identities of the climbers, who are in their 20s, is being withheld until this evening when the trio's family members are expected to arrive at Timberline Lodge, said Jim Strovink, a spokesman for the Clackamas County Sheriff's Department."

    One climber found dead. 2 missing

    "Authorities announced tonight that searchers found the body of a missing climber on Mount Hood today, and two others remain missing after failing to return from a climb Friday.

    The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said Luke T. Gullberg, 26, of Des Moines, Wash., was found dead about 10 a.m. on the Reid Glacier, at about the 9,000-foot level of Mount Hood."

    It is very sad. I was watching twitter updates from the climbers' friends last night asking for prayers every few minutes.

    Helicopter search for Mt Hood climbers

    "The rescue crew left Timberline Lodge to drive over to the chopper, which had landed in a parking lot at Mount Hood Meadows. There, they boarded the Oregon Army National Guard UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter to help guide pilots to the areas on the Reid Glacier and Reid Headwall, the steep face where it is believed the two missing climbers might be found."

    Multiple aircraft join search for Mt. Hood climbers

    "A Civil Air Patrol fixed-wing aircraft has joined an Oregon National Guard helicopter in the search for the missing Mount Hood Climbers, and a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter with thermal imagine capabilities has been dispatched from Astoria."

    Wow; I wonder how much food and other supplies they had with them. This is not sounding good at all.

    One of the mothers just spoke on cable news and stated that they are all aware that today is the last chance. I assume that means that due to conditions and their known supplies, that they feel survival is not possible past this point in time.
