I pray they find the answers they are looking for. Perhaps after all this time someone will come forward.

So, so sad. Kings Cross is a vice ridden area of London. I wouldn't walk there alone.
I so hope that they get closure, so sad to get old and still have an empty place at the table.
The anonymity of London and fear of violence causes people to not intervene. I would like to think that I would though...I seem to be turning into an "interfering busy body"

This story is so heartbreaking. Honestly, I doubt he's still alive. They seem like such a sweet elderly couple. I really hope that someone comes forward with some new information. They don't need a body to have the family gathering that they described.

    Martin Allen-Missing since Monday, November 5, 1979

My heart goes out to Martin Allen's family.

Appeal 30 years after schoolboy goes missing

Officers and family of missing schoolboy Martin Allen appeal for information 30 years after his disappearance.
Martin Allen (pictured), 15-years-old at the time, disappeared whilst on his way home from school on Monday 5th November 1979.
Officers at Kensington & Chelsea investigated his disappearance but despite extensive enquiries no trace of him, his clothing or his property has ever been found.

'Thirty years on, we still don't know who abducted our son': Parents of Martin Allen make final plea for information

Metropolitan Police officers have continued to investigate the disappearance of Martin since a review took place in 2006, but admit they have no new leads.
The teenager went missing as he travelled home from school to pick up some money to take to his older brother Bob in Holloway.
His father worked as a chauffeur and the family lived in a cottage in the grounds of the Australian High Commission in Hyde Park Gate, Kensington.
Martin left a friend at a foot tunnel leading on to the southbound Piccadilly platform at King's Cross station at about 3.50pm.
He has not been seen since, but a passenger came forward after a television appeal and said he saw a man and a boy acting suspiciously at Earls Court.
The man was standing with his arm around a boy who looked like Martin and both appeared nervous.
He was heard to say: 'Don't try to run.'

Does anyone know what school Martin attended?
I choose to walk to path less travelled, and that has made all the difference

Dearmont, I believe Martin Allen went to Central foundation School on Cowper Street. I hope Martin's family know many of us are thinking of them during this holliday and hoping we can bring attention to this case.

On Monday, November 5, 1979, Martin left Central Foundation School, Cowper Street, EC1, at the end of lessons as usual, and went to Old Street tube station with school friends. He travelled with them on his usual route on the Northern Line two stops to Kings Cross. There they got off.
Martin was intending to stay the night with his brother Bob in Holloway. However he told his friends that he had left at home 1 which he wanted to give to his sister-in-law Sue, to go towards a digital watch he had bought through her mail-order catalogue.
Martin said he was going home to fetch the 1 first before travelling up to Holloway. He said goodbye to a school friend at about 3.50pm and was seen walking down the short foot tunnel leading onto the Southbound Piccadilly platform at Kings Cross from the top of the escalators connecting from the Northern Line. This is the last positive sighting of Martin.
From there, Martin's' route would have been by tube to Gloucester Road, and then on foot up Gloucester Road to home - his normal route between home and school. There is no trace of his having arrived home.

Hi, Robin--that looks to be from 1998. I don't think anything has panned out. But something just might...*fingers crossed*

How strange though, to have a shrine for a child missing from 1979, especially miles away in Liverpool.
I'd have liked to be a fly on the wall when he tried to explain why he was so interested in Martin.

I read that he may have been seen with a man ordering him not to move at Earl's court, but the above article says he was seen being held against his will outside Gloucester road.
As he was heading from Kings cross on the picadilly line to his home in Kensignton, I would asusme something happened on the district or circle lane. To get to kensignton (assuming there have been no changes since 1979, and there were no closures) he would have changed on to the district or circle lane at monument. I am not sure where he would have got out, but it could easily be at gloucester road as that is near kensington. So it could have been someone grabbed him as he left the tube station, and either dragged him back which is why he was seen at earls court, or took him somewhere by foot (and the person at earls court made a mistake), or it could be that he was grabbed on the tube, and tried to run away, but if that was the case I would have hoped someone would have seen him running. The problem is that if he was on the tube with a kidnapper at earls court then he could have been taken anywhere in London. I also read that martin was small for his age so could have been mistaken for a younger child.
I always wondered if anyone involved in killing jason Swift was involved in Martin's disappearence.

Thanks for that Brit1981. I have just had a look at

And got a pic of Lennie Smith (I must admit he does look a little like the photofit of the guy on the tube)

Off to have a look around for more pics/areas in UK.

God they are revolting. What sort of people get to gether to group rape a child. I cannot believe they only served nine years for the death of jason Swift. I also wish the media woudl not call him arent boy. He was a fourteen year old boy who had run away after his parents split up and he had to stay with a relative. He was fending for himself on the streets of London, and a group of men preyed on him, and (at least in their version), offered him money for sex.

I made a mistake. Assuming the underground has not changed, and there were no closures, Martin woudl ahve staye don the Piccadilly line from Kings cross all the way to gloucester road. The witness says he saw Martin with a man who seemed to be threatening him, getting onto the tube at gloucester road and getting off together at earls court. According to the newsreport robin posted, this was the raynors lane tube, which would have been the piccadilly line. So Martin had to have got off the piccadilly line at Gloucester road. I find Gloucester road an odd place to hang out to abduct a child so I think he must have been followed either from kings cross, or from someone getting on en route to gloucester road. Lots of trains change at earls court even on the same line, so I do not think it can be taken as a given they were not getting onto another train at earls court.
I find it hard to believe that whoever took Martin, and got away with it, did not go on to commit other crimes against children. You do not abduct a child, and murder them, get away with it and then go on to lead a blameless life.
