TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) – Police want to find the man suspected of kidnapping a 7-year-old girl Saturday.

Police in Texarkana, Texas say that the child was playing at a playground near the 2200 block of West 15th Street, when an older man approached the girl and tricked her into getting into his car.

Brian Lucas was convicted on sex abuse and attempted sodomy charges today, after a two-day trial and jury deliberations that lasted more than six hours... Lucas, 33, told police after his arrest that he couldn't believe the allegations and said he had a good, close relationship with the alleged victim, who was 16 at the time of the early morning Dec. 31, 2013 encounter...

Lucas is facing another sex abuse case stemming from an alleged February 2014 encounter with then 18-year-old former family baby-sitter... He was taken into custody following the verdict...

Lucas' twin brother Aaron, pleaded guilty to child sex charges in Colorado in late 2012. Aaron Lucas' attorney had initially told the court they planned to use an "evil twin" defense arguing that Brian Lucas was responsible. That strategy was later withdrawn and Aaron Lucas pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison.

No mention of charges so far in the 7-year-old's case.

Suspect to face trial in abduction, sex assault case

A former soldier who blamed his identical twin when he was accused of sexually assaulting young girls in Colorado is scheduled for trial in Bowie County next month.

Aaron Gregory Lucas, 35, is serving 20 years to life in a Colorado prison for assaults on a number of young girls, some of whom he approached while wearing his Army uniform, according to multiple news reports. Aaron Lucas initially blamed the crimes on his twin brother, Brian Frederick Lucas, 35, claiming the DNA linking him to the assaults wasn't his.
