    NY - John Picarello, 22, Copake, 1 December 2009

    Missing Columbia County NY man

    State Police are trying to find a man who was last seen more than a month ago.

    John Picarello was last seen at the Copake Pharmacy on December 1st, 2009.
    That was around 2:30PM and he was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and sneakers.
    Police say he has a piercing in his left eye and chin, along with a sleeve of tattoos on his right arm.

    COPAKE -- Authorities have identified the remains of a man found Saturday in a field off County Route 7A.

    Columbia County Sheriff David Harrison said today that the remains belonged to John Picarello, 22, of Copake, who was the focus of a missing persons case. Authorities said they did not know how long Picarello had been missing but that his body had been in the field for some time.
