I know someone on here is computer savvy and can put those locations on a map for us. Concerned Papa? Debs? Anyone?

Really would like to see those

The "Scrub Note's" directions leading to a search on September 28th were:

Check the back of father’s mobile home. From the right end of the mobile home extending out continue for 540 yards straight. At that point go north 12 yards. Dig 2-3 feet, will strike metal covering an old well, check inside, black plastic garbage bag.

The August 29th search based on Misty's "look for a rose" was centered at the Murphy's Creek Conservation entrance gate on Buffalo Bluff.

The image below locates the entrance to the Murphy's Creek gate as well as the 540 yard point from both ends of the trailer. FWIW, the Murphy's Creek gate is 1,609 yards "as the crow flies" from the front door of the trailer.

I can't get the map to post so here is the goggle address so you can see the area searched in the rose search. It would be Hunter Rd-Monroe Alley-Green Lane-Seven Sisters Rd. The entire wooded area in between the roads all the way to the river.
Hope this helps. If someone can post the picture of area please do.
ThanksGL

If I understand you correctly, this would be the area you described for the search:

I wonder if the rose was found near the railroad tracks?

I ask this because I can't help but to wonder about the dogs stopping at the railroad tracks. Could that suggest that she's is still near the railroad tracks, maybe buried so far underground that the dogs seem to lose the scent? KWIM?

If the rose was found in the same area, shouldn't LE tear up the ground near the railroad tracks? They tore up the ground near CS, so why not? You would've thought that LE would've done that where they found the rose. I just find it odd that Ron/Misty knew where it was. They knew the location of a single rose? Not a dozen roses but ONE single rose! That area, where ever it is, imo, is very important.

Did they take the shovel into evidence? I was reading an article from the media links and LE claimed that as of June they still had evidence that had not been examined? In JUNE? Why not?

I'm not sure what you have in mind as to "near the railroad tracks", but the yellow square in the image below is the approximate length of 2 football fields on each side. Within this area would be difficult to conceal the type of activity you have suggested.

Please understand, in no way do I point this out as criticism of what you're saying because anything is certainly possible. It just does not seem to be a likely area to me.

Lost.jpg

TY, CP. I've never seen that map of the area near the railroad tracks and was just thinking out loud. It does look quite open. I know that anything is possible but I don't think Ron or anyone else for that matter would take the chance of being caught trying to bury a body in that area.

So this area in yellow is where they found the rose?

No. As I understand GrannyL, who was with the search group, the rose was found within the yellow lines of the image below.

What areas are known to have been searched? This would be helpful to know for anyone who wants to search for Haleigh and as a reference for possible scanner activity.

Sunday, after a six-day search of a 5-mile area around the Satsuma mobile home where Haleigh disappeared, officials suspended general search operations, WJXT-TV reported.

But a tip that came in Monday morning prompted about 60 officers to search for hours in a field near Pomona Park -- about 10 miles south of Satsuma. They left without finding anything significant.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- A new tip led to a new ground search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings Friday and an army of deputies searched a wooded area just a few hundred yards from her home (exclusive video | images).

Putnam County sheriff's deputies stopped all physical ground searches for Haleigh Cummings last Monday, but Friday morning Eyewitness News found a search team in Satsuma in a parking lot and followed behind them.

Deputies Suspend Dive Search
Putnam County investigators said they are suspending the dive search for Haleigh.

At a 4 p.m. news conference Saturday, investigators said a dive team has thoroughly searched the St. Johns River near Haleigh's home for five days and nothing related to the case has been discovered in the water. Investigators will suspend the dive operation for at least Sunday, but the air and ground searches will continue.

SATSUMA, Fla. -- Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy said Friday the search for 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings has yielded "some items of interest."

Hardy, however, would not give details into exactly what they found. He said they still believe that Haleigh was abducted and they think she is still alive.

http://www.baynews9.com/content/36/2009/2/13/437313.html

In the letter, Prevatt claims she was interrogated last week by investigators in the Cummings case. She also made claims that another acquaintance of Misty Cummings, Joe Pytko, gave detectives a sworn affidavit that detailed how Haleigh died.

"(He said) we were all over at a party at Chad's house and HaleIgh got a hold of some Oxycontin and died. We supposedly freaked out and Greg put her (Haleigh) in a black bag in my car, and we took her to a pond," Prevatt said in the letter.

The information in the letter might have led to last weekend's search of the L Pond at Mondex in Putnam County.

Prevatt also said in the letter that detectives took her car from a junk yard for DNA testing.

The search for Haleigh Cummings was reinvigorated Friday morning.

About 40 officers from multiple law-enforcement agencies converged on the Baker County home of Crystal Sheffield, the mother of the 5-year-old Satsuma girl who went missing in February.

Capt. Dominic Piscitello of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said authorities scoured about 40 acres and searched two bodies of water in and around Sheffield's family farm in Glen St. Mary. The search wrapped up about 2 p.m. with no major developments.

Woods, in Putnam County, said investigators searched the landfill as part of Haleigh's investigation as well. Such searches are routine parts of missing-child and suspected-abduction cases.

"I personally was inside a dumpster, searching that morning," Woods said. The "meticulous" landfill search came a little later, but that's because trash pickup in the area did not occur immediately after Haleigh was reported missing as it did in Somer's case, he said.

The dogs and officers followed the track to a pond and then circled back near the Cummings' home and then out of the neighborhood to a location very near Haleigh's school bus stop. K-9 Units Search For Missing Girl: Video
http://www.wesh.com/video/18807325/index.html

SATSUMA -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office and the cadaver search dogs will continue searching the area near the home of Haleigh Cummings, 5.

On Thursday, the sheriff's office searched a Dumpster approximately a quarter-mile from where Haleigh disappeared on Feb. 10.

Three cadaver search dogs alerted on the Dumpster around 3 p.m.

Investigators found brush and debris inside. All were remnants of a home being renovated. The sheriff's office said they did not take anything from the Dumpster.
Bloodhounds had searched the area several times in the past. The dogs' handler described the incident as an anomaly.

REPORTER'S NOTES 5/13/2009 VIDEO: TJ Hart Speaks With PCSO Capt. Dick Schauland on Month 3 of Haleigh's Disappearance http://www.thesky973.com/pages/4014463.php

Cadaver dogs have been requested by an individual close to the family and another interested party

"Snip" TJ Hart Reporting Saturday, 06 June 2009
According to Staubs, some cadaver dogs have been requested by an individual close to the family and another interested party. Both say the need for the dogs is to make sure all areas close by have been searched in the event law enforcement missed something. Those searches with the cadaver dogs could take place this week. http://www.thesky973.com/pages/4014463.php

Most parties involved in the search for Haleigh, including law enforcement and Staubs, believe Haleigh is alive and well.

One source belives she might even be closer to her home than most think.

June, 2009 officers searched the grounds at the Baker County home of the child's maternal grandmother. They located animal remains, confirming information that animals had been buried on the land and ensuring that "we don't leave any stone unturned" in the ongoing search for the child, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood said this week there currently are no plans for additional searches without credible information calling for one. And, absent new developments, a second meeting gathering investigators from different agencies working on the case also has not been scheduled. http://www.gainesville.com/article/2...n-Haleigh-case

Requests Made for a 2nd Search Near Haleigh's Home

<snipped>
The property in question is just through the wooded area behind the former home of Ronald and has a green trailer on in it. The man who lives in the trailer is reported to be a rent-free tennent of a landlord who has granted him permission to reside there.

It is this trailer that has psychics and some members of Haleigh's family convinced that the child's body might be buried there.

Cadaver dogs were near there and hit upon the dumpsters. I saw the dogs roaming through that wooded area, but not on the property where the green trailer sits.

One relative who has been virtually silent for months said that if some level of satisfaction is not met in the next couple of days, that silence will likely be broken.

A single plastic rose http://www.gainesville.com/article/...3?Title=New-search-for-Haleigh-may-come-today

"Snip" By Karen Voyles Staff writer

Published: Saturday, August 29, 2009

A comment Misty allegedly made about investigators needing to double-check a patch of ground marked by a single plastic rose in their search for, Haleigh Cummings, has motivated a private firm to begin scouring the area this morning. "She said there was a place that was not searched very well and that we should look for a red rose, and she gave us the location," said Steph Watts, who recorded the sessions for EquuSearch.

"We went and we looked, and we found it, and the next day we took them (Putnam County investigators) back there," Watts said. "I don't think they are going to dig where the rose is and find the body, they are following up on every lead."

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office are conducting a new search for missing Haleigh Cummings south of Palatka.

Putnam County Sheriff's office has received information that there is possible physical evidence in the Haleigh Cummings investigation located in a body of water south of Palatka.

The description of the alleged physical evidence is not being released at this time.

Divers from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office, St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, and Clay County Sheriff's Office are conducting underwater searches in this area. In an attempt to assist the divers, the decision has been made to lower the water level in the pond to reduce the search area.

According to investigators, the recent interviews with Hank Thomas Croslin, Jr. and Kristina Prevatt did not provide the information which led to this search. http://www.actionnewsjax.com/conten...h-New-Information/5FIhKlOyT0qEiXrujSQXfA.cspx

TES will conduct another search Does a Rose Hold The Clue To Where Haleigh Is?
Equusearch will conduct another search in four to six weeks

Equusearch will conduct another search in four to six weeks, Miller said.

"We decided with the information Misty gave us to go ahead and search that area now, but we will be doing some stuff in the future too," Miller said.

Tommy Croslin, was interviewed by the sheriff's office regarding comments made by Misty during questioning by the private sources, Lt. Johnny Greenwood, spokesman, said.

"Neither the interview, nor the search, provided any new information to investigators," Greenwood said. "As with all tips, investigators diligently reviewed the videotaped interviews conducted with Misty Cummings looking for any new investigative leads."

And there was the "rose" search.........maybe someone has a link for that.

Kimster, I'm glad you started this thread. I think it would be a big help to put together all of the locations that were searched. LE had the search points mapped out so to put together the search locations will, imo, help us understand where LE is going with this.

IMO, we should also put together the dates of the search and watch for a pattern.

Carolyn Todd, an administrator with Texas-based EquuSearch, said that some volunteer searchers were on horses, some on ATVs and most on foot. More volunteers continued to arrive at the main volunteer tent throughout the morning, their cars lining both sides of a narrow two-way street that curved by the heavily wooded search area off Buffalo Bluff Road.

hey lflorida. Think the search question was general, as to what areas we knew of that were searched so you can probably answer that at least to an extent for them. TIA

lol - there are other members of w/s who aren't locals who probably know about more than I do.

Just generally & off the top of my head:

There was the wedding day search that was on Hwy 17S from someplace down to Paradise Shores.

The wooded area between Green Ln and Buchanan was searched multiple times from what I've seen and read.

The docks, shoreline, and water along Seven Sisters Island. [the island itself, not just the street by that name.]

The Marjorie Harris Carr preserve [or whatever that place is called, on the right hand side of Buffalo Bluff as you travel toward Green from Hwy 17] - w/s'ers posted that they just parked and staged there in the August search, but I have read that TES searched the actual park.

The Valentine's Day search, also TES + volunteers - I had a friend on that one, but I don't know exactly where it is.

There was another search that Flagler County S.O. assisted on, but I'm not sure I know the exact location on it. Looked like South Putnam.

At Mondex, that St. Johns Rd [or drive or st, w/e, across from Sesame St.] BOTH L-ponds were searched based on my own visuals. [I was right between the 2 ponds on that little road the Monday after the official search.

Bear Island was also searched - might not have been specifically for Haleigh, but there was an incident out there in the Fall that was seriously investigated and searched.

Probably more, lemme think.
