Several things jumped out at me when I read the profile on Trevor and maybe someone from the family will eventually join WS to help us along.

While everything seemed normal up until the time Trevor disappeared, what struck me as being totally odd was that

1. he just bought a Mustang yet he took a cab into Vegas
2. he left his wallet behind so he brought at least enough cash for the ride.

Questions I have are:

1. did he have a computer? there was no mention of a computer being left behind
2. if he had one, is it gone? if not, did the family look over his computer usage history?
3. was he gay? that question is not intended to be embarassing, rather it would provide either some context for trying to figure out why he left or where he is (if he is still alive)
4. did they look over the cell phone calls he made in the days, weeks and even months preceding his disappearance?

Since he was intending to meet someone, that would have been arranged by phone, email or text message, so there has to be some answer there, unless of course he had a second cell phone of the pre-paid variety.

In my perfect world, he is the IHOP guy from the Koecher thread.

So I would like to know if Trevor favored ball caps and raspberry ice tea.

One thing I neglected to comment on was the possibility Trevor had a weapon on him. I am not sure what to make of that, however, I assume the family knew he had one and it was missing. Does not mean Trevor took it with him, but if he had a weapon for a trip to the mountains, something does not add up here.

The description says he usually wore a ball cap with Ford Mustang on it.

Do you have a pointer to the other thread?

There is no indication as to Trevor's sexual preference.

It is not conclusive that he took his gun with him.

Webrocker, is it possible that he met someone the night before when he went out with his friends ?

He had just bought himself a car, and also some pet turtles ; it really does not sound like he was suicidal. But, why would he leave his wallet, driver's license etc. at his house ?
Although I haven't seen this video, evidently he really did seem to be waiting for someone . Just like Steve Koecher really did seem to be going to meet someone. I would like to view this video, and I would like to know where Steve Koecher was late Saturday night ...

Most of the activity leading up to the day Trevor disappeared seemed perfectly normal. Taking a cab (when he owned a car), maybe taking his gun, but leaving his wallet behind at his apt is odd.

It is possible he was meeting a shady character so he brought a gun for protection but kept his wallet home just in case he was going to get robbed.

Post number 304.

Fairy1 went to the IHOP with a poster of Steven. Her post contains an excellent description of her interaction with the management-the key point to me was that they stated their guy at the IHOP was thinner than Steven. Trevor is similar height, but 20 lbs or so lighter. The IHOP guy wears a ball cap, orders raspberry ice tea all night and sleeps at the table. He carries some kind of black portfolio/organizer/something all the time.

Let us know your thoughts CB!!

Taking a cab and a gun and leaving behind a wallet and a new car seems to indicate he thought the possibility of getting robbed was real -- might mean he was carrying quite a bit of cash.

He looks like a fairly tough sort of person. In fact, that one photo makes him look downright nasty. Even if he didn't have a gun, he looks like the kind of person who would fight back if accosted.

Leaving the camera heading southwest -- that's the direction South Town Center Drive runs, so quite likely he saw his ride approaching and went to meet them.

He sounds like a closer match to the IHOP guy than Steven does. The IHOP guy sounds a little like he might be on the lam. And if he were living in the homeless camp, he wouldn't need to sleep all night on an IHOP counter -- that's the kind of thing someone who has nowhere to go at night does.

There is one huge difference between Trevor Morse and Steve Koecher. Trevor had a life - a job, his own apt and money to pay his bills. Steve had literally nothing. So I don't know why Trevor would be wandering the streets of Vegas.

Schizophrenic break? I am under the impression it can come on quite suddenly in young men with the wrong genetics.

That said, I don't really think it's very likely. I think it's much more likely he ran into trouble and got killed and dumped somewhere he hasn't been found yet.

Unless he was new to the streets and afraid of sleeping in the camp. Someone on the lam would not go into a restaurant and draw attention to himself by sleeping on the counter time after time. IMO.

Maybe, if he was meeting a person,or people he didn't really know, he might have felt he needed his gun. I would love to see the store video he was caught on before he walked away and vanished.Or,failing that, I'd like to talk to any family members who have seen it.
It is really strange that the LE officer working his case told Trevor's father that he was in a rehab someplace in California. Doesn't look to be based on anything ; Trevor was a journeyman electrician, and his foreman found him to be reliable and competent. This does not make sense to me ....

Even if Trevor went into a rehab place, which is possible, he would not STILL be there a couple of years after the fact. Also, people with serious drug problems often have job and financial problems which do not seem to be the case here. He would have cleaned up his act and come back to his apt long ago.

I agree that he would have come back and picked up his life ; I also think he would have called his parents in Texas. But, he really didn't seem to be out of control in any area of his life ... He's been gone for two long years. To all Vegas locals : how likely is it that a suicide would go totally undetected in the foothills of the mountains there ? Are there a lot of ravines, hidden rock formations, or crevices ? Just curious, I would have thought hikers would have found something by now if that was the case ?

There's a lot of desert around the city and tons of places where someone could stay hidden for a long time. That being said, I don't see this as a suicide at all. I feel someone harmed Trevor and wanted him to remain hidden. My feeling is that someone will stumble across him by chance someday.

I don't know if Trevor's family was ever able to speak to whatever friends he had here in Vegas. And I don't want to imply that he was into something he shouldn't have been. But the fact that he appears to have taken a gun with him the night he went missing after going to meet an "acquaintance," alone, tells me it was a potentially dangerous situation and he knew it.

I totally agree, Fairy. If he took the gun it was because he thought he might need it, and when a person goes into a situation like that, they know they might not come out.

I don't get the feeling that he was involved in anything hinky. I kind of think he just had a big wad of cash on him because he was meeting somebody to go to the casinos, and took the gun for protection in case he was robbed.

I didn't mean on the lam from the law, though I guess that's what it sounds like. I meant not wanting people he knows to find out he's homeless.

My bad, very poor choice of words.

You know, if he has money in that portfolio or something else that is precious, sleeping in the IHOP makes good sense, because he is less likely to be robbed....if I am making any sense. I may need more coffee, lol.

You're right believe09. I got the feeling from the IHOP server that he's very attached to the "black case." No doubt there is something of great value in it - if only to Steven.

I still wonder what Trevor did in his free time and if his family was ever able to find out. See, this is the problem when someone gets away from family - there's no one around to keep them in check. Was he gambling? Was he clubbing a lot? Drinking a lot? I think it was reported that he had been out at a club with friends the night before. Do they know what club? Did he meet anyone there that was new to his circle?
