An Amber Alert has been issued for two toddlers who were taken from their babysitter's house Monday afternoon by their biological mother, who is not supposed to have contact with them, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The three were last seen in the north Houston area. The sheriff's office has not released any information on what type of vehicle the mother and children may be using.

Why did they wait 24 hours to issue the amber alert? So frustrating!

Prayers these babies are found quickly,

    Here's a little more:

The babysitter had allowed Dufore inside her home to visit the kids and left them alone while she went to the restroom. When she returned and couldn't find the children or Dufore, she notified police.

Officials said the courts had terminated the parental rights of Dufore in May 1999 and say the 28-year-old has a history of drug abuse and suicidal tendencies. The children's grandmother has custody of the children.

In 1999 these girls were not born, you have to wonder why they cannot get facts right? And a late Amber Alert?

It's possible, since it was just a babysitter and not the grandmother, that she didn't know about the no contact order. Of course, if I had custody of children whose mother had a no contact order, I'd be sure to let the babysitter know... So who knows.

Either way, hoping that these beautiful girls are found quickly.

Looks like court awarded custody to gm in 2005 and also tried to get CS from mother and "alleged" father, it appears. Kind of hard to read / decipher all of the codes, but this is when and what happened, as far as I can tell.

2005? I don't think either of the girls were born yet.

Nope. Isabel, the oldest girl, was born in July 2006. The mother would have been pregnant for a short time in 2005, so I guess it's possible that it was determined at pregnancy that the grandmother would have custody?

You know...I thought the same thing and have been looking over the court records again, trying to see if I'm delusional or what?

Ok...so I copied and pasted all this information relevant to the court records and decided to delete before posting since none of the dates match...don't want to mistakenly post information.

The only court cases for this mom were filed between 2004 and 2005 and included a TRO, child support (plaintiff listed as female and listed mom and a maleas defendants) and I say "a male" because the court records indicate a paternity test was completed prior to the final disposition of the case.

Maybe the court / custody hearing / parental revocation was done in another state or county? since it's not on Harris County that I can tell. Even if mom has other children, if it was in Harris County it should / would be posted, I would think.

I'll see what else I can find and post anything else that "might" fit...

eta: Idaho, I bet you're right. Looks like original petition for CS was filed 10/25/05 and wage assignment final order signed 11/21/2006. It also appears that she has other children as the other case in "family court" was filed 5/18/2004 and has TRO signed "with children" (whatever that means) on 6/8/2004 and 12/15/2004????

    TX - Kaydence G, 2 & Isabel M, 3 - Houston

HOUSTON— There's still no sign of a pair of Houston toddlers taken from their babysitter’s house on Monday.

An Amber Alert for the sisters was issued on Tuesday.

Kaydence Gonzales, 2, and Isabel Martinez, 3, were taken by their biological mother whose parental rights have been terminated, according to police.

Investigators say Mecinna Dufore, 28, has a history of drug abuse and suicidal tendencies.

100 years from now, it won't matter what kind of car you drove or how big your house was. What will matter is that you were important in the eyes of a child.
