KENT, Wash. -- Police continue to look for a Kent woman who has been missing since Jan. 2 and are now focusing their efforts in Kent’s Clark Lake Park.
Lyubov Lutsyk was last seen at her home on the east hill of Kent. Her family said she had been depressed and made statements about wanting to leave and disappear.
Lutsyk left her home with taking her purse, cell phone or money. The vehicle she normally drives was also left behind.
Lutsyk is 49-year-old woman of Ukrainian decent. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. She was dressed in a black hip length coat with a quilted pattern, long skirt and a tan beret-style hat.
The police department has searched the park with department personnel, family members and volunteers, but they have not found Lutsyk.
Although the park has been searched, marine and K9 units will be able to search other areas of the park, said Kent police spokeswoman Lieutenant Lisa Price.
Anyone with information about Lutsyk should call the Kent Police Department at 253-856-5800.
