A Kings County family is asking for your help to find a missing man. No one's seen 28-year-old Michael De La Cruz in a month.
Several unconfirmed reports to the Kings County Sheriff's Department claim he's possibly the victim of foul play.
On Monday, Kings County Sheriff Chris Jordan read a statement from the missing man's father that read, “If indeed the rumors are true that our son has been killed, please give us the information or where his remains can be found so that we can provide a proper burial.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of De La Cruz is asked to call the Kings County Sheriff's Department at (559) 582-3211, X2720.

From February 2010:
De La Cruz’s body was found Friday floating in a canal near Stratford. He was reported missing in early January. Investigators believe he was the victim of a homicide...
“Mikey” was a licensed contractor who worked in Hanford and loved to fish, his father said. He was never known to be violent or have enemies. He was a member of a carpenter’s union and spent his years since high school working construction jobs with his dad...
Right before he disappeared in December, he was having some trouble in his personal life. His family had moved to Morro Bay and he was living alone in Hanford. The last time they saw him was on Dec. 4, right before the family traveled to San Francisco... Later, he called them from an unfamiliar phone number. He told his father that his cell phone wasn’t working and he’d have to get another one. When the family didn’t hear back from him in the next few days, they figured the faulty cell phone was why...
Jordan admitted that there are currently no suspects in the case. It’s still unclear where De La Cruz even was when the attack occurred.
