Sex Offender Grabs Girl In Ladies Room

Francisco Pena (not the baseball player) aged 41 likes 11 year old girls. I guess he'll be my "Today's Reoffending Sex Offender".

Sunday evening an 11 year old girl and her 7 year old cousin went into a park restroom. In the bathroom Pena grabbed the girl by the arms and told her he wanted to kiss her. The young girl screamed and the dangerous sex offender fled. He was arrested a short time later at a bus stop.

O.K. this could have been a whole lot worse. I know we know, but I just have to say it. What in the he*l are two little girls doing in a park bathroom alone? By the age of 9 or so my nephews were too big to go in the ladies room with me. Hey, if I'm watching kids I'm not letting anything happen to them. So, I'd prop the door open to the public bathroom with my foot and yell in. Check to make sure nobody was in there and if they were waited till they exited.

I know. I know it's excessive, but no freak was going to grab up my nephews.

I don't think it's excessive...but then again, my son went in the ladies room with me until he was 11 years old....and he was a BIG 11!

I am still especially careful of places that children frequent...like parks, amusment parks, etc.....

I have also been known to guard the men's room door if my son was in ther alone...didn't care how many stalls or urinals there were...and tell approaching men they would have to wait! LOL

Actually, you have to give the parents credit for the buddy system at least-there were two non toddler girls together. The question is what the dude was doing in the ladies room. The little girl reacted perfectly-she screamed. AND the guy was caught.

    Angry

This is exactly why I escort my 8 year old daughter into the women's bathroom, rather than wait outside the door for her! My husband thinks I'm crazy.

Park bathrooms are notoriously dark and scary and I've always seriously supervised my kids in them. I had to chuckle just a bit, though, Filly. Do your nephews still give you a hard time about this now that they're older teens or twenty-somethings? Do they roll their eyes and say to other guys at the urinal, "Ey, don't worry about it, it's just my crazy Aunt Filly"?

You know I love you!! Nobody's gonna mess with those kids when you're around. Woe betide the poor innocent guy who says, "Hey, nice shirt" to one of those kids while you're standing nearby.

And speaking of your "Reoffending SO of the Day", did you use the template I told you to work up along with the Disney one?

No, this is serious stuff. I hope the girls got the putty scared out of them and will never try that again. At least there were two and they screamed. Maybe it was an emergency. It is remarkable, though, that they caught the slimeball.

I can't tell you guys how many close calls we've had. My husband and I always shadowed our kids, especially after our trial, but we are all different colors. It used to just shock our socks off how many men tried to hit on our little girls when they were in their early teens. We'd be standing four feet away and these creeps would start talking them up. My husband would walk over to the guy and say, "Excuse me, this is my daughter. She's been taught not to talk to strangers." You've never seen color drain from a man's face so fast. This just shows how bold these pervs can be. My husband looks very much like a Dad, just not the birth dad of these girls, and the guys would still try it. Jeesh.

I wrote the same thing and it never posted I don't know why it didn't. I even go in and check to make sure somebodys not hiding in there. At camp grounds after dark I make my husband check to see if the mens room is empty and if it I use the bathroom in there with the kids while guards the door for us. If its not we wait until it is I would use the womens but I don't want to scare some woman with my husband guarding the womens bathroom door. Even in the daylight hes close enough to hear me yell.

Missizzy, we had one close call while at a Haunted Forest attraction. It was after we had done the scary hike and were crowed around the huge bonfire that was provided sipping hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows. It was super crowded. It was myself and a girlfriend and my son who was about 8 at the time. My son was intent on sitting and roasting and my friend & I were standing behind him. My son also doesn't look like he belonged to me, he appeared to be alone. A man cozied up next to him and started chatting him up...I had to actually shove my friend out of the way because she wanted my full attention and somehow managed to get between me & my kid. It was at that point I overheard him asking my son if he wanted to do the scary walk again with him, he knew a secret way in............My head almost exploded, I somehow managed to reach around my friend, grab my son and whip him off his seat and in front of me all in one move. I don't know how I did it. I started yelling for a cop...the guy took off running. I was shaking.

You beat me to it. I was going to suggest the same thing.

Then again I could have e-mailed it to my ex husband and he'd say "Oh that's just one time. One kid. What's the chances of that happening again?"

My gentleman friend has a niece and nephew. At Phillies games I take them to the "family restroom". I mean they're big now. However, that's just one bathroom. One toilet. I can look in there.See nobody is in there then I tell them to go. I wait right outside the door. Same thing with the concession stand. You want something I will not send those kids alone. Gentleman friend gripes, but their daddy is a police officer and said "That's why I only let them go when you go to the game".

Lord forbid I lost one of those kids. The older they get like my DD and nephews and these kids they understand.

Filly, I was just going to mention the family restrooms they have now. I think they're a great idea and wish they had them back when my son was small. My children's father (my ex-husband) didn't live with us so the first time I let him go in the men's room was so scary.

Ohhhhh we all can't be Fenway. No, if I take them up to Citi Park there may be a problem.

K, ya know what will be great? When you're watching the World Series this year and we clinch at home I'll have the cameras pan in on the family bathrooms. You'll see me waving while I'm waiting for the kids to hurry up.
