* Distinguishing Characteristics: Blonde hair. Possibly slender build. There was evidence of healed trauma to her spine; she may have had problems with her feet during her lifetime.
* Clothing: Bra and panties
* Dentals: Available. She had composite fillings, that dentists only have used since 1978/1979.

The victim was located in a wooded area in Wizard Wells, TX.

Height is spot-on
Age (30 yrs) is just outside UID's upper age estimate.
Weight (96 lbs) qualifies as "slender build".
Short blond hair is consistent with description and forensic sketch.
Circumstances indicate that she may be traveling. Therefore, 1130-mile distance between Las Vegas and Jack County TX is not inconsistent.

There is no mention of back problems or feet problems, as described in UID description

I was put through to a MP analyst named Kristin Fabry, but got her message machine. I left a message with all of the details.

I wonder if she is Sandy Rea who was admittedly younger than the estimated range at 17 y.o. but was 5'2", 111 lbs and was from Shawnee, OK which is about 200 miles away per Mapquest. Sandy was last seen on September 19, 1984 which is three months before the UID was found which is the estimated date of death.

Sandy's hair is listed as brown but the picture looks blonde to me:

supposedly they submitted a sample but don't have the result yet.

I sent a message to someone connected to website for Sandy Rea and gave them the info for the UID in TX. if they think it might be her, they might have some luck with the people in TX.

Mary Ann Bagenstose went missing in June of 1984. I have no idea how she would end up in Texas, but the resemblance is good as are the demographics and injuries.

I got a message back that someone in Sandy Rea's family contacted Namus regarding the possible match to this UID.

I've been more partial to this Jane Doe as a possible for Sandy Rea.

But I was never able to get TX DPS to do anything about it, or say whether or not there was a rule-out. I hope that Sandy's family is aware of this Fort Bend Jane Doe as well as the Wizard Wells Jane Doe.

Carl, the duffel bags and their contents don't seem consistent with Sandy's leaving a bowling alley and never being seen again. anything is possible of course.

while the Namus profile for the UID has no one listed as a rule out, I have been advised that she is NOT Sandy Rea. for the record, Sandy had 5 fillings which were not present in the UID.

The timeframe is right.

She is a little too tall though, and the Jane Doe is listed as blonde. AFAIK, she didn't bleach her hair.

Missing Person Case

Mary Ann Bagenstose – The Charley Project

According to NamUs, the Doe Network, and Charley Project, Mary had a slight limp caused by a car accident in her youth and she wore a lift in one shoe. That directly matches the UID who was said to have had healed trauma to her spine and possible issues with her feet during her lifetime. Mary's height would be on the higher end for the UID.

The biggest factor going against this as a match is distance. I am not sure how she would have gone from Pennsylvania to Texas, but apparently she was in the middle of a divorce and custody battle with her husband at the time of her disappearance.
