Missing Person - Rita Boyd
Belleville, Ont. - Police are asking the public for assistance in locating a Missing Person.
Rita Boyd, 47 years was last seen at her residence on Avonlough Road on Saturday October 11th at 8:30 a.m., however wasnt reported to police as missing until October 13, 2008 at 9:07p.m. Ms. Boyd is a resident of Maple Manor and does not have any family or friends in this area.
Ms Boyd suffers from an illness which requires that she take medication daily. She has been without her medications since October 11th.
She is described as being approximately 5' 5" tall, 184 lbs, has brown hair, described as a mullet style, and blue eyes. It is believed she is wearing a black and white plaid jacket, a ball cap and dark clothing.She was last seen carrying two Giant Tiger bags and it is unknown what is contained within these bags.
Ms Boyd generally leaves the residence for a maximum of two to three hours and for her to be gone for such a long period of time is uncharacteristic.
Ms Boyd does not have any identification in her possession.
Belleville Police are presently searched the area with the assistance of the Belleville Police Canine Unit, police officers from Belleville and Stirling, and the Belleville ATV Unit.
Information was obtained from a witness that Ms Boyd was last seen at the Belleville Bus Terminal on Pinnacle Street at approximately 10:30Am on Sunday the 12th of October 2008. It is not known if she boarded a bus at this time.
Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Boyd is requested to call the Belleville Police Service.
Anyone with information which may assist the police with locating Rita BOYD are asked to contact their local police service or the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.
