PA - Kathleen Pappert, 41, shot to death in Philly home, 14 Feb 2010

Kathleen Pappert was talking too loudly in her father's home around 2:30AM. So he shot her.

The 41 year old Pappert was pronounced dead about three hours later at Temple Hospital in Philadelphia.

O.K. they're not saying if the daughter was talking to the father or on the phone or to others at the house. Obviously he snapped out. This link said they were talking to the dad, but our local news later said he's been charged.

That's EXACTLY what my mom said when we saw that on the news.

There's got to be more to it. Our Daily News will have the scoop tomorrow. That's a tight neighborhood. The victim had an addy that's extremely close by. She probably had to move in with dad and who knows?

Sad though. She's fairly young and now the dad will be locked up.

Thank you OBE. You found his name.

Demographically this neighborhood used to be nice. It's iffy now. Alot of the old neighbors left. However still there's some old ones that all know eachother. Know families. That kind of thing.

Sad. We'll see what happened here.

A neighbor talked. They said that Mr. Pappert was a recluse and his daughter didn't come out of the house much. The only time the man came to his door was when the pizza delivery man came.

The house was in deplorable shape and for a time the father and daughter lived without electricity.

    From November 2014:

    https://www.courtlistener.com/opinio...m-v-pappert-a/

Allyn Pappert shot his daughter after an argument about her boyfriend. On January 20, 2012, after a four-day jury trial, appellant was convicted of third degree murder and possessing an instrument of crime...

On February 14, 2010, the victim had an argument about Jay with appellant in the rear bedroom of his home.... [T]he victim told appellant, “I’m out of here,” and appellant responded by commanding “You ain’t going nowhere. Get back in here.” As the victim attempted to leave, appellant picked up one of his guns and shot his daughter in the right side of her torso. The victim staggered down the stairs to the living room, lay down on a sofa bed, and screamed for help.

Appellant called 911 and the tape was played for the jury. Appellant told the dispatcher that he shot his daughter who had been “*****ing and moaning” about having been shot...

On January 20, 2012, the jury returned guilty verdicts for third degree murder and PIC. On May 1, 2012, the court imposed a sentence of 20-40 years’ imprisonment for murder and a consecutive 1-2 year sentence for PIC.
