Police need public's help to find missing man
February 15, 2010

MONTREAL – Police forces on and around Montreal Island are seeking Marc Stewart, a 41-year-old resident of St. Hubert on the South Shore.

The man has been missing since Feb. 5. His life is considered in danger unless he receives essential three-times-a-week medical treatment.

A Longueuil police official refused Monday night to confirm or deny that Stewart requires regular kidney dialysis.

The official cited the missing man’s privacy rights for non-disclosure of his medical condition.

Stewart was last seen about noon, Friday, Feb. 5, at the Jewish General Hospital.

He did not present himself for treatment at a Feb. 8 medical appointment, Longueuil police said in a press release issued the next day.

Nor does Stewart have in his possession a medication required for another health problem, the police statement noted.

Stewart is black, 5-foot-7, and weighs 231 pounds, and has short black hair and brown eyes.

His vehicle remained at his St. Hubert residence, leading investigators to conclude that he may have taken another form of transportation.

Anyone with information on Stewart’s possible whereabouts – or information that would allow his movements since Feb. 5 to be traced – is asked to call 911 immediately.

Police in Longueuil are on the lookout for a man from the southshore borough of Saint-Hubert who's been missing since eleven days, during which time he's not been receiving crucial medical treatment.

The Longueuil police force won't describe the medical treatment in question, since a person's medical history is a confidential matter, but says without the treatment, the man could die.

Body found near Rivière-du-Loup

A 41-year-old St. Hubert man who disappeared four months ago has turned up dead and police say it looks like murder.

Marc Stewart's body was found last Friday in St-Honore-de-Temiscouata near Riviere-de-Loup in the Lower St. Lawrence region. He had been shot and the body was discovered in a wooded area. The body had been there for at least several weeks.

A former member of the Halifax chapter of the Hells Angels has been charged in connection with a third murder in the Montreal area.

Jeffrey Albert Lynds was already facing charges related to the murders of two men, Kirk Murray and Anthony Onesi, who were gunned down in NDG in January 2010. Now Lynds has been charged with ordering the February 2010 death of a man who was shot and killed in Longueuil...

The Simpson brothers say that Lynds ordered them to kill Mark Stewart in Longeuil a few weeks after the NDG murder.

From May 2012:

Lynds, a former member of the now-disbanded Halifax chapter of the Angels, killed himself in a Quebec jail this January...

Quebec police charged two other men in Stewart’s killing earlier this week. Chris Pierce, 44, was arrested near his home in Lower Freetown, P.E.I., and Glen Robinson, 53, was picked up in Montreal...

A Montreal Gazette story from February 2011 said two Nova Scotia brothers — Robert William Simpson, 48, and Shawn Timothy Simpson, 45 — had pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the killings of Stewart, Murray and Onesi and then agreed to testify against others.

From August:

Chris Pierce, of Prince Edward Island, died of natural causes, also while detained at a provincial detention centre...

Robert William Simpson, 52, and his younger sibling, Timothy Shawn, 49 — pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the deaths of both victims and are currently serving life sentences...

Glen Edward Robinson, 56, of LaSalle, was originally charged with conspiracy, but on Nov. 12 he pleaded guilty instead to being an accessory to murder. He received a 54-month sentence and, with time served factored in, was left with a nine-month prison term.
