This one is hitting me too close to home. The links explain the crime, but it was an online Child *advertiser censored* Ring that arrests were made in November 2009. I personally know, and I mean KNOW one of those arrested. I will not disclose the name of this person, but needless to say my hubby and I and all of my children, who ALSO know this person, are in a state of utter dismay and shock. He was a friend, and we had NO clue. How can this be? How can someone be as perverted as to propogate children in sexual scenes and still act like they are just a normal guy? I am blown away and had to say something to someone somewhere. Where better than right here?

I just found out yesterday, although the arrest was in November. That is why this is NEW news to me...unable to reach our "friend" by phone, and then hearing his phone disconnected, and calling his relatives and not having our calls returned to explain what was going on, we contacted his work, twice, and got info each time, but not enough to know what had happened. So I googled him believe it or not, and there it was and here I am and shocked beyond imagining...All my kids are freaking out about it. We went to his mothers funeral. We have known him for 15 years. He was NEVER alone with my kids so THAT isn't the worry...but he was around them, so I am sick sick sick!!!

Think its GREAT that a portion of the Adam Walsh law is being put into full force on this case, for the first time ever.

I'm really glad your children are safe but just the thought that this sicko might have been "checking them out" is repulsive.
I'm so sorry this hit so close to home for you MC...so scary that it could happen to any one of us. You just never really know...

This person has been IN my home. We have had dinner with him at HIS home...just boggles the mind the things you have to look out for that can come from right outta left field.
 
magic-cat--I am so so sorry for your trauma. I do know what you are going through. Thank God your children are safe but I know your mind will be turning this over and over for years. Take care of yourself and hold your children close.

Can I ask if this is in any way related to the arrest of Detective Bowersox in Bakersfield? It seems like that case has tentacles across the country.

im glad to see, however, that more and more of these arrests are showing up on websleuths lately. expose as many of them as possible

Somewhere way back after the Rickie Muir bust and I can't find that on our search engine here. Anyway after that I was looking at it and posted on here someplace and I will so find it how unbelievably freakin scary that place is. I posted a link to some of the people on there.

I may be spelling Rickie's name wrong, but Steve Huff did a great article about him. That place is still up and running. I mean blatant children freaks. They don't post *advertiser censored* well I'd say it's *advertiser censored*, but the comments about little kids from full grown men would make you sick. I remember looking at one guy's profile on there and these nutters were actually posting their real e-mail's on there.
 
O.K. here it is. Back in 2008 I posted this.

It can look seemingly innocent some of them. It's the comments these pervs give that are just awful. No doubt alot of those profiles have been removed as they constantly get kicked off BUT they than rejoin. Just under the same name and add a 1.

I can post a newer one so you can see what I mean. I guess some who got kicked off are locked up as well. Oh the name is Ricky Meuir. I was spelling it wrong.

Here's a current example. You see all these pictures of young boys. Some professional and some from films. Then there's some Lord knows where they get them, but it's obviously normal everyday boys.

The problem is when you look at the comments made to the pictures and as you'll see each has a ton of comments.

Then each of those people commenting almost always have the same thing. It's like a meeting place for children hurters.

Filly--Slightly O/T, but maybe not. Did you see my post yesterday about the "Life and death of a young male "naturist" film star". It's the story of Vladik Shibanov. The cult following for these little boys/teens totally creep me out. No wonder Vladik was on a collision course with death. How I wish a good investigative reporter would take on telling some of these boys' stories.

The pedos could care less. It's all about them.

Yep, right on that guys I linked to. Lots of others too, but I don't speak whatever language it is. I will look though.

Ach, we're supposed to think it's all for the love of the beautiful youth? Getouttahere. The comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna reach through the screen and pull whoever lurks behind them.
 
Magic-cat, I know you are reeling; what an awful thing to learn about someone you considered a friend!!!!! Sometimes we feel "let down" by people we trusted, but to find this relationship included not only deception but perverted & criminal activity is just overwhelming. Talking it out should be helpful & I am sure you'll get good advice from Websleuth friends. If the icky feelings do not subside soon, maybe you should try counseling too.

I haven't read the links yet, but I am disturbed that the arrests were kept quiet & nobody was willing to talk about it. Denial is one of the major enablers for this type of criminal activity. I agree it's not nice to talk about, but harming children is a lot worse.

There does appear to be an increase in the number of child *advertiser censored* arrests. I tip my hat to diligence of LE for nabbing these sickos. I hope for harsher laws & fewer plea downs. For every one caught, there are many more getting away with despicable crimes.

It's funny because last night I told my hubby that having endured a lifetime of events that would have sent many, if not most, to the padded room and having survived with a resonable amount of sanity in tact, that THIS was the thing that was going to send me to the head shrinker. lol.

On the note of the quiet surrounding this-I cannot even find the county they are holding these guys in. I cannot locate them on any PA jail rosters or inmate searches nor in their own towns listed in the articles. I know, because of one of our sources, that they were extradicted to PA and are incarcerated there, but I am unable to discover where they are being held. The article was full of cloak and dagger tactics, like cooperating witness no. 1 from western PA...I mean, what IS that? Why all the secrecy? And where are the other arrests that should be forthcoming?
 
Filly, I'm not going to click on your link because I'd hate to have to explain why there are websites with pictures of young boys on my work computer. But I can imagine. I've seen websites of child actor enthusiasts (I am a child actor enthusiast myself...Mr. Mr. E says I have an encyclopedic knowledge of child actors throughout film history, but even I find these sites creepy) full of pictures of young boys and girls, and you have to wonder why anybody would go through the trouble of getting all these photos.

Magic-cat, I'm sorry you are going through this. It's frightening to think that there are so many people who are perfectly normal (seemingly), but there is a dark, dark side. And I agree...why all the secrecy? Who would want to protect these worms?

For thinking I'm lil Miss Detective I didn't really think of that Mr. E. Then again I figure if I click on these freaks maybe somebody will give me a job seeing I want to track them down. I wanna save the kids of the world the pain I endured. Oh I'm a therapist too.

Looks like the professionals know how to find these creeps without my help though. That's alot of States. No doubt the secrecy is because they're going to bust a bunch of them. Let's hope.

I love Shirley Temple as much as the next person. I'm not an authority on child actors/actresses, but I can tell ya these people don't have the interest you do Mr. E. There's evil intent. However it looks like it legal. Obviously.

It's so sad. I think it's a great knowledge to know about the talent of child actors/actresses and appreciate their work, but then you get these weirdos. Of course too it's not just boys. I only found that all as I said back when Steve did that great work on that creepy dude. Who BTW probably won't do that much prison time I bet.

O/T, but not. My mom could tell you how many curls Shirley Temple had in her head. LOL In my opinion she was the most talented child actress of all times. Jane Withers in films with Shirley was great. Nobody could cry like Margaret O'Brien on cue.

O.K. now I'm showing I watched "Meet Me In Saint Lois" one too many times.
 
The booking pics of these guys needs to be posted on the front page of each one's hometown newspaper. LARGE pics.

I am sick to death of these pedophiles and child pornographers. LE does their jobs and catches these 's. The judges and the sentencing giudelines do not impose enough prison time for this crime. Vote the judges out and change the sentencing guidelines, FGS! This crime destroys children's lives. The creeps do a little time, get out, and do it all over again.

One thing about it, tho, is that when one person is caught, all of the other 's that has been communicating with or belonging to this ring is exposed.

Yeah exposure, full exposure, would seem to be called for in something like this. As for my "friend" his mother died this past year, she was a lovely and dear woman and my own surrogate mother who basically adopted me and my kids and looked out for us right til the day she died. We were there for her and actually transported her to visit her son, who became our friend as well...I wondered why she had to die suddenly as she did, and now I wonder if it wasn't God's own grace to spare her from this shame and disgrace. She was a proud hardworking woman and this would have broken her heart. He was her only son, and she had no grandchildren...

Blast it on the front page of hometown for sure!
 
Filly--As far as I can tell, the films starring Vlad and his friends are filmed in the Ukraine and in Croatia. Many of the clips can be found on youtube. But steel yourself, you'll want to crawl right out of your seat. The production dates are a laugh as they clearly show Vlad as a eight or nine year old and yet list the production date on those videos as two years ago. He was 19 when he died last year. Clearly, he's been filmed since he was extremely young.

magic-cat--You bring up an excellent point. Why is it that we read about these massive arrests and can rarely find a listing of those arrested or follow-up down the line as to what sentences they got and if any victims were found.

I understand that most of this work must be clandestine. However, last year there was a Medford, OR man arrested in a federal child *advertiser censored* sting. I was interested as he lives nearby and had massive amounts of child *advertiser censored*. He was also a business owner. I watched the net for months. I even wrote my legislator. Nothing. I still can't find him.

Don't the man's neighbors, boss, co-workers, kids' friends' parents need to know. Why can't there be a website set up with photos of those shown in and arrested with child *advertiser censored* so we can all peruse it and identify whom we recognize?
