July 2010:

A 20-year-old Jacksonville man who topped off two “specialty” sandwiches at the Burger King near The Avenues mall with prescription painkillers Feb. 10 has pleaded guilty on two charges of poisoning food with intent to kill or injure someone.

Circuit Judge Elizabeth Senterfitt sentenced Woody Bernard Duclos, 20, of the 14000 block of Silver Glen Road last week to five years in state prison, according to court records.

Duclos was arrested after two customers at the restaurant at 10142 Philips Highway found hydrocodone, a painkiller, in their food.
