David and Victoria Beckham were replaced by performing seals when they stood up one of the biggest names on American TV.

They gave up a joint interview on the Jay Leno show, preferring to stay on holiday in Marrakesh, reports the Evening Standard.
Network chiefs hastily issued a new schedule, replacing the couple with a display of performing animals from the SeaWorld theme park.

Believe me the seals probably had more to offer.

Him = Average football (soccer) player, Worries more about his image than playing with pride for his country. Makes more money from advertising than Soccer.

Her = talenless ex spice girl, professional shopper

Incidentally in the USA your are probably immune to the Beckham phenomena, In europe, Asia and pretty well anywhere else he is the most recognisable face. Hie generates in excess of £50million in replica sports strips worldwide, there is never a day when he does not have at least a page in our tabloids.
 
Hugh I agree.

I think the seals have more talent and probably smell better.
