Baltimore County police are looking for a 24-year-old woman who has been missing for more than a week.

Cherice Maria Ragins of the 3600 block of N. Rogers Ave. in Baltimore was last seen on Feb. 21 in Catonsville, around Route 40 and Rolling Road. She went to Catonsville to meet with someone, police said Wednesday in a statement.

"She has not been seen or heard from since," said the statement, which asked for the public's help in locating her.

Ragins is described as black, 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She has her first name tattooed on her neck, and she was last seen wearing gray sweat pants, a red hooded sweat shirt over a black shirt and green and pink shoes. She was also carrying a black purse with silver trim.

Anyone with information about Ragins' whereabouts is urged to call the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020

I've found 4 other stories about this woman but they all have the exact same info, nothing new in any of them.

The stories say she went to meet someone. I wish they would elaborate if that person was someone she knew, if anyone knew WHO she was going to meet, did she meet this person online, etc. etc. etc.

I hope this young woman is okay and is found soon.

Baltimore County Police say that a reward for information to locate a missing woman has been increased up to $4,500 through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Investigators say an anonymous party has added the money in hopes that someone with information about the 24-year-old's whereabouts will come forward with information to locate her.

Clarise Ragins needs her daughter back.

Bumping for Cherice.

Come home safely please.

Police said they later determined that Ragins was with her boyfriend.
On Friday, police searched an area in Woodlawn -- the last place Ragins had been seen with the boyfriend, who has not been identified.
Baltimore County police Cpl. Mike Hill said there were inconsistencies in the boyfriend's story that led to the search; however, the boyfriend is not currently a suspect.

I created the Pray for Cherice Maria Ragins page on Facebook. My sister, niece and nephew grew up across the street from Cherice and her family. My niece and Cherice were childhood friends. I attended the memorial/birthday service for Cherice that was held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. Her mother Clariese was so proud to see the good turnout for reflections and remembrance of Cherice.

LE said they are still pursuing this case, but still no leads.

Unsure if these remains may be related to Cherice's case, nor do I know how far it is between Catonsville and Prince Frederick. Very few details on the skeletal remains found but wanted to make sure those following Cherice's case where aware.

There is also a seperate thread for these remains which can be found in the UID forum.

Still praying for answers in Cherice's disappearance.

Boyfriend charged with Cherice's murder

County police on Tuesday announced the arrest Travis Eugene Elleby, 30, of Windsor Mill.

"It was overwhelming," Ragins' mother, Clariese Ragins, said of learning of Elleby's arrest.

Cherice Ragins' body has never been found, and it's unclear what evidence investigators have against Elleby. No court records on the charges were publicly available Tuesday.
