Is this your pediatrician??? If so start questioning your children...Doctor Sharpe has admitted to having sex with an underage patient of his AND to having pornographic pictures of her on his cell phone. He pled GUILTY.

It gets better. In the 1990's Dr Sharpe was fired from hospitals in TN for fondling female patients and HITTING a patient.

As you can see by the article, he managed to find another place to practice his craft, thereby victimizing at least one more child.

When the AMA and State medical boards wake up & decide to protect the public/patients instead of the Doctors!!!!!!!!

Albertville Pediatrician Charged with for Rape 2nd, Sodomy 2nd, and Possession Child *advertiser censored*

Sheriff's Investigators have arrested an Albertville Pediatrician, 63-year-old, Dr. Michael Roy Sharpe, of 221 East McCord Ave, Albertville, AL for Rape 2nd, Sodomy 2nd, and Possession Child *advertiser censored*.

The victim is less than 16 years of age and was a patient of the doctor. The doctor was operating an office on Alabama Hwy 205 in downtown Albertville and was doing business as "Child Life Pediatrics".

What's up w/ pediatrician's offices having such creative names these days? Is it a new trend?

I ask because when my son was little, he saw pediatricians, but no fancy names for their offices.

Believe, thanks for posting this but can I say "hold on a sec" about questioning kids, please? If a parent thinks their child has been seen by this monster, please don't question your child. Instead, contact LE and ask them what they'd like you to do. Prosecutors really hate to have a child presented to them who has already told their story, and possibly had it tainted by well meaning helpers.

The very best course of action is to think back on whether this doctor saw your child and call LE for instructions. If you are unfortunate enough to have used this physician and your child discloses to professionals, you may then make yourself available to your child for comfort and support through the nasty months ahead. Your child will probably be assigned a trauma assessment therapist and will be interviewed by highly trained detectives. The interview will be video-taped for use in court. Sometimes, there is a physical exam and blood work. A Children's Advocacy Center will be able to support you as you help your child.

I know everyone's knee jerk reaction is to run to their child and say, "Honey did he hurt you?" But please resist this urge. It's just like letting the EMT guys do triage after a car accident while you stand waiting to comfort the hurting child.

Of course, we know this happens in every state but are there some loopholes in Tennessee that need to be firmly stapled shut? FWIW, Dr. Livingston is in Donalson, TN.
