Not all of his injuries sound consistent with being thrown into a wall. Unless he was naked.

Ahr told police he had put the boy and his older brother to bed several times, but they kept roughhousing and jumping between beds. He said just as he was about to fall asleep, they woke him again with a loud thud, and he saw the youngest boy having what appeared to be a seizure.

Police said Ahr attributed the boy's bruising to rough play with his brother.

Police interviewed the older brother Thursday. He told investigators the boys began playing with toys and being loud after Ahr put them to sleep. The older boy said after Ahr came in the room several times to quiet them, Ahr spanked the younger boy and picked him up over his head and threw the boy against the wall. The boy said Ahr had hurt him as well.

Ahr denied hitting or touching either boy.

The injured boy was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Medical Center in Orlando and is currently on a breathing machine, but has regained consciousness, police said.

The report said Ahr was taking care of his girlfriend's children at her Daytona Beach home Wednesday night while the unidentified mother was at work.

He put the boys to bed between 9 and 9:30 p.m. but they continued to play, jumping from one bed to the other.

After several warnings, the older boy told Child Protection Team members that Ahr came back into the room angry. He told the pair to go to bed, but the victim said "no," his brother testified.

Ahr spanked the younger boy then picked him up, holding him over his head, and threw him against the wall.

The report said Ahr told officers the youngster was injured when his brother jumped from the upper bunk of their beds to the lower one, landing on the toddler.

Prayers for the little boy that he fully recovers -- and doesn't have to be abused by mom's b/f's any more.
What we are doing is just a drop in the ocean.
But if that drop was not in the ocean,
I think the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.

Is this adding up for anyone else? He wasn't there to babysit, just to put them to bed? WHo was babysitting? Why didn't they put the kids to bed?
He doesn't look scary to me, but he does look really really stoned. I wonder if that had any part in it? What the heck possesses you to throw a child against a wall to sleep? And I have major questions about the genital injury. I'm trying to figure out how throwing against a wall results in an injury to his genitals, and I'm just not seeing it.

ETA: I see the "there to put them to bed" was just an odd word choice...but I still want to know what he's on and how the genital injury occurred.

NMK, I'll have to agree with you on this one. He isn't frightening looking to me, but I bet for those two kids he was.

His Facebook links to Recovery Month Daytona 2009. So maybe the question is what is he back on or kicking? I thought he looked high as well in the mugshot. His Myspace is private but shows him holding the cutest little boy. Maybe it's this poor child he decided to toss.

No matter high or not can people not get that tossing a kid, beating them, burning them does not keep them from crying any longer, make them go to bed quicker or stop wetting their pants? I get people have anger issues. In fact on his Myspace on February 25 he's Pi**ed. Who'd have thunk?

Prayer for this little guy. Imagine the horror of having a poor baby doll flown out to another hospital he's that bad. Some people just s*ck. Humanity is steting to get to me anymore.

Not My Kids, I'm glad I'm not the only one who had that question. The way they worded "he went to his girlfroends house to put them to bed", is really odd, and like I would like to know who else had watched the kids that day/night.

A toddler who was seriously injured after being thrown against a wall was released from Arnold Palmer Medical Center in Orlando and is "fine," Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said Saturday.

The Port Orange man arrested and charged with throwing the 2 1/2-year-old and fracturing his skull -- Benjamin E. Ahr -- has not been released. He remains in the Volusia County Branch Jail for aggravated child abuse on $50,000 bail.

Glad to hear this little guy seems to be recovering, good news

and good that this creep will be dealt with...

but what about the bio mother who let this jerk into their lives??

she is free to hook up with another loser, some women just need a so called "man" ....she still presumably will be working, who will watch these kids?

what new bad decision will she make>>???

She is the only who put her child in danger, she should be held accountable as well IMO.At the very least she should have counseling in being a parent that puts her children before a man who abuses the them.

According to the comments (and who knows how trustworthy they are), the mom was at work stripping and had a habit of bringing home crackheads and letting them watch her kids.

I'm glad the little boy is okay. He must have been so scared. Two year olds can fry your nerves, but bedtime has always been kind of a nice downtime at our house. Bath, stories, songs...we used to rock her to sleep when she was very small. They are precious times; I wish they were for all kids.

Let's all say it together: "Just because you're sleeping with him, that doesn't make him a good baby sitter."

    Jeesh.

I had to log in (at work tonight) just to say

With a face like that I'm surprised the little ones didn't lay in bed trembling with nightmares :EEEEK: What is this with these women who work and leave their precious babies at home with such human dung? A skull fracture with bleeding on the brain is called a brain injury. That little boy is not "fine"
