Missing Moncton woman: RCMP releases footage from surveillance cameras

One video shows the south entrance of The Bay, through which O’Rielly exited. A man wearing a gray beret enters about eight minutes before O’Rielly left. A second man exits about six minutes before she left. The third person on the video is O’Rielly herself leaving the store. About a minute-and-a-half later a man and a women leave the store, followed about 45 seconds later by a younger man and woman.

The second video shows the east side entrance, the main entrance to The Bay. About a minute before O’Rielly left through the south side entrance, two men and a woman left through the east door. Three minutes later a woman leaves, then five minutes after that a woman and two children enter, closely followed by another woman.

Police are asking all of these people to come forward in the hopes they may have seen something that could aid in the investigation into O’Rielly’s disappearance.

The bus station is accross the street from the mall and the train station is just next door.
I wonder if they have video from that night.

Family, police are puzzled by the disappearance of a Moncton grandmother

Donna O’Reilly was last seen leaving work, heading home to watch the men’s Olympic hockey semi-final

by Tom Henheffer on Thursday, March 4, 2010 2:10pm - 3 Comments
O’Reilly was working at the H&R Block kiosk at the Bay on Friday. There was a storm outside and things were slow, so she decided to go home early—she was anxious to watch the men’s Olympic hockey semi-final. At 8 o’clock, she was captured leaving the building by security cameras. No one knows what happened next, because the exterior camera covering her car was malfunctioning.
Harold said their mom must have gone into her head office after work, and that the girls should call back in the morning. He dozed off and woke up around midnight. He knew something was wrong, so he went to the mall, found the car and phoned the RCMP.

“They knew our family and knew my mom, and knew this wasn’t a typical woman who may have went to a bar and not come home,” says Streek.

Missing Moncton woman's family pleads for help

Security cameras show her leaving the mall, but she didn't get in the car she drove to work. It was found in the parking lot, where she had left it that morning.

Karen Streek said that none of the security cameras in the parking lot area were working the night her mother went missing.

"Unfortunately, the security down in the area, absolutely no video cameras on that parking lot. They've been broken for five years and if only one of them had worked, we probably wouldn't be here right now," Streek said.

It was stormy when she left work and there weren't many people around. Her family believes she was taken somewhere against her will.

Streek said the family has considered every possibility, including that someone thought their mother had cash on her since she worked filing tax returns.
Investigators want to talk to anyone who was at Highfield Square last Friday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., even people who only went into the mall for only a few minutes or just drove through the parking lot.

"While these people may feel they did not witness anything it's still important for them to talk to investigators who will be able to make that determination," Const. Chantal Farrah explained in a statement.

Extra staff have been called in to take the calls, day or night, she said.

Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP at 857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

I've been watching those surveillance videos over and over, and it's so frustrating that the glass reflects the inside of the store, and is impossible to see through them :(
It's so bizarre how Donna could have been abducted so fast, that the 2 couples that leave the store right after her didn't notice anything.
Hopefully the RCMP has been able to interview every person that was there that evening, and are able to get some leads. :praying:
